For those who haven't seen it or would like to see it again. Very good action fight, I think Cotto definitely won the fight. Not to be disrespectful of Lovemore but it is kind of the story of his career. Can hang with the top guys and make it competitive, but always falls short in beating the absolute best like Cotto, Cintron, Malignaggi, Mitchell. But that is exactly why you love a guy like Ndou right? Unlike some others, he is willing to fight ANYONE, ANYWHERE and at ANYTIME. Took alot of these fights on 10 days or 2 weeks notice and still gave very respectable efforts.
Yep straight up!! Lovemore is the man and it's a shame more boxing fans especially in Australia and Africa dont get behind him more.
N'dou fights like an ol school fighter with the same mentality. There's not enough like him. That win he pulled out over Rabah was all mental strength.
Tough as nails and what really impresses me is that all these fights at the world level came post prime imo. He was a machine at 135 in 97-98 but got a little stale waiting for his shot.
Gotta love Ndou for what he brings to the sport. One of my ATG fights was his defeat of Rabbah....this was an astonishing fight for its result. Ndou pounded out 11 rounds and Rabbah retired in his corner at the start of the 12th..it must have been one of the hardest decisions in Rabbahs career not to come out but if you have seen the fight it is totally understandable....Ndou was intending to win that fight by putting his opponent in a coma.
