I've been doing 9-10 minute miles recently, and it's super slow. Prolongs the workout so your aerobic system gets more work, and it works any soreness out of your muscles. Good for weight control as well.

Pretty sure he does more than just jogging though.

I believe Joe Calzaghe did many hill sprints, which would definitely explain slow jogs as recovery runs, or in between sprint intervals..

To each their own, I usually run a steady fast pace for anywhere from 2-3 miles, then killing myself for say 50 yards right at the end... Every so often I will mix in a few extra sprints.

I live on a mountain, so there are many twists, turns, and hills involved.

ermmmm most of Joe Calzaghe's runs where uphill, i always remember a comment before the Jeff Lacy fight.

"I run up hill and fast"

Joe Calzaghe lived in the valleys, the streets he ran on where uphill.

Calzaghe has got no kind of sprinting speed, how slow was he in that charity football match.
