Hasegawa stepping up to feather!

  1. Stepping up TWO weight classes?! And when did Rojas get stripped?

Anyone know anything about this Burgos fella? Nice looking record on paper but not much depth to it.

Seems strange alright, but people have been saying he's been really struggling to make the weight.

It's a shame he's going to be out of the mix at Bantam, but if he can be effective at feather he'll be a great addition to the mix there.

Sign of things to come IMO , BW and FW currently the 2 strongest divisions in world boxing , why not step up and make superfights ???

Imagine John vs Montiel ??? :hey

    WTF happened to Rojas ???

These lower divisions get way too little press exposure man !!!!!

Rojas injury must be long term.

Hasegawa vs John would be a mega fight in Japan.

Hasegawa should move up to 122, fights with Nishioka and Poonsewat would be more meaningful, competitive and lucrative for Hasegawa at this stage IMO.

Hasegawa Vs any of the former super bantams would be fairly intriguing, just can't see him being that effective at this weight.

Seen Burgos once or twice, from what i remember he's quite tall and awkward but has quite a bit of power, sounds like a good fight!

A fight against Poonsawat makes way more sense as he already called him out and is a well known name in Japan himself. I reckon Hasegawa sees Burgos as the easier fight and that is why he is taking it but can he take he handle featherweight power? Could prove to be a big mistake.

nishioka and hasegawa are with the same promoter, who wants to keep them apart and have two champs between them rather than just the one.

poonsawat is a nightmare fight, probably as hard as hasegawa's first fight with veeraphol.

an opening has come up at 126, a weight he was looking toward years ago, so good luck to him.

hope HH wins, and gets great fights with rojas, jhonny gonzalez (if he beats asiku tonight), chris john and others, and has a long, successful run as a feaherweight champ.

poonsawat is an effing hard fight for hasegawa, especially coming off a KO loss; and you never know, perhaps nishioka will want to unify with poonsawat, one day?

i think hasegawa will have great speed at featherweight. he's wanted to be a featherweight for quite a long time.
