This is odd no idea why he would do this. He is getting a minimum £20k a fight in sunderland in his deal with maloney.
He'll still be promoted by Maloney! And fight wherever Maloney says. He'll just be training in the states. I know that he talked to trainers in LA when he was on holiday there after the Banbula fight but I can't think of any trainers there apart from Roach who he would be interested in.

I posted on a previous thread that it will definately do him good to get out of sunderland where he is pretty much instantly recognisable. It will serve him well to focus on his boxing more at this crucial stage in his career. Lets be honest here, he's had ok victories but has flattered to deceive at times. Yeah if it's buddy, i think it will be a smart move. He definately needs it.
Fair play to him. He recognised things weren't working and he needed a change and he's done that. It's not easing leaving your home country and all the people you know but he'll now be able to focus on nothing but boxing. Very interested to see who he will be working with.
