What kind of a sociopath would fight his only brother for a payday? No wonder you have an avatar where one thug is about to shoot another in the head. You compare Wlad to Carnera. O.K., well the dude from gamblers advisory on Youtube, who is almost never wrong on his fight predictions; take a peek, the guy is scary accurate, routinely compares Wlad's style to the immortal Muhammed Ali. I'll go with the professional gambler's opinion. He can't afford to lose.
Why are so many people in Western sports media who hate the Klitschko's Jewish? This is a serious question and not meant to be insulting. I am ignorant of the role Judaism plays in forming ones likes and dislikes, especially in the realm of athletics, whether conscious or unconscious. It is not generational as old writers/commentators such as Sugar, Mathews and Bernstein, while the new generation like Kellerman, Fischer and Lichtenfeld(sp) also seem to have a big problem with the Klitschko's and for that matter most Eastern european athletes. Jews have always championed the cause of what they saw as oppressed minorities. They were instrumental during the civil rights movements of past decades. They have seemed to carry over their appreciation into the world of athletics even though many of them come from Eastern Europe. Again: I am not trying to **** anyone off. I am simply curious. Whenever I ask a Jewish person about this trend, I am usually told that no such trend exists but there is always a clear level of hostility that pervades their kurt replies. I have also found through personal experience that many young Jews seem to be enamoured with Black subculture. The music and the whole "gangsta" lifestyle. Of course this exists in the youth of most, if not all ethnic groups. I just find it more fascinationg when it applies to Judaism. And YES: I know Judaism is not an ethnic group and Wlad would kill Frazier... LET THE INDIGNATION BEGIN.....
i bet Buster whips Wlad. the Buster that showed up in tokyo... threw a lot of punches and combos something Wlad cant do.
that guy is wrong a lot and his comparrison of wlad and ali is based soley on the fact they are both headhunters who dont throw body shots.
Ridiculous. Carnera was a mob/circus strongman with no great fighting ability. He had zero concept of creating distance as shown when he fought Joe Louis and Max Baer. He also had the punch resistance of David Haye..............Wladimir would crush him like an aluminum can.
Chris Byrd was considered a defensive genius, he made guys miss and countered effectively. How'd he do against Wladimir? Twice no less. Even bigger beating the second time around. Highlight reel one punch knockdowns, with a right hand & a left hook. Show me a single one punch knockdown on that level from Primo Carnera. You can't................. In fact show me Primo throwing 3 or 4 left hooks in a row & KOing his opponent in the second round, without throwing a single right hand. Again, the tape doesn't exist because Primo did not have the skill, power or speed of Wladimir.
Both Sugar & Mathews are American idiots who long for the nostalgic days of past. Y'know, when their opinions were considered valid. I've heard Wallace Mathews since & he praises Wladimir...................Sugar? Not so much.
Obviously stupid post. Wladimir's signature is the 1-2 and he's also known for doubling up left hooks to the head. Both would be considered "combos" you dumbass. You either haven't seen his fights or you remember what you want and leave out the good parts. Didn't Wlad just finish off Peter with a few combos? I swear, where do these idiots come from?
The Buster Douglas who knocked out Tyson beats any version of Wlad. Wlad is lucky he's fighting in the worst era of heavyweights in boxing history.
By whom? The guy has no power, and on top of that he's a southpaw. It's a bad stylistic match up against a guy that throws long right hands. Not to mention the fact that Byrd is an outside fighter, he stays at range, but he's not effective at closing distance and staying in the pocket like James Toney, who by the way he had no trouble avoiding, despite being called out multiple times.
Yes, stationary fighters, like Jersey Joe Walcott. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9uCpJ0bm6RI[/ame] And for the record Carnera was a champion at one point, had a massive KO percentage, and killed a man with a punch. So you don't know **** about boxing basically?
