The three best fighters Joe has faced are mediocre names at best, in Eubank, Lacy, and Kessler. Joe has never fought a world class fighter on level with Hopkins.

    Hopkins lose to Calzlappy?

    :rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl

Actually, whatever you think about how a potential match-up between Hopkins and Calzaghe would play out, I believe full-heartedly that Hopkins genuinely wants this fight.

He sees something in Calzaghe's less-than-stellar style he believed he can exploit. And more often than not, Hopkins is right in such situations.

Calzaghe, on the other hand, probably isn't so sure, having never fought an elite fighter in all of his days.

IF you had an ounce of credibility left with me...

you would have just lost it.

I hope Calzaghe takes the offer, because if he doesn't, there will be no second offer. Joe cannot say he's not been given the chance to receive a good payday. £6M is way higher than any ourse Calzaghe has ever received from Warren.

The offer by GBP has effectively been made public, so now it's in the hands of Calzaghe to make the fight! I think the sum (£6M) is a fair one to Joe. However, Warren will not be happy that he's not the promoter, but Calzaghe shouldn't let that stop him from making the fight!

It's up to you now, Joe!

mediocre names? sums hopkins fans up really. i bet you cream yourself when you see, trinidad, de la hoya and wright on b-hop's resume, but as you well know, they were fighting well above their best fighting weight, which devalues bernards wins massively.

lets face facts, pops best win was against tarver, a fighter who's only a notch above buster douglas really, right time, right place. a one punch wonder :yep

    calzaghe will finish hopkins :deal

No we don't. It's £14.95 (~$30) on Sky Box Office. Of course Sky itself costs a monthly fee as well. So it's anything but free. PPV is rare in the UK, where only a minority have the platform for it anyway, but it's still around. Lewis-Tyson was PPV, and I think there have been one or two since then, leading up to this one.
It'd be a crying shame if Calzaghe-Hopkins was PPV-only. Come on Setanta!

I understand your point, bit you cannot say the offer of £6M is not a good one, because it is, far exceeding any purse Joe has received from Warren.

I was just trying to get across that I honestly think if Joe turns down the offer, then there will not be a second offer coming his way from GBP!

    Time will tell!

Don "Convicted Felon" King has screwed more people than your 2 sisters combined :admin Didn't he **** over Ali also, settled with him for peanuts in a duffle bag or some ****. That guy is a scum-bag. Although, I'm pissed at Oscar as a fighter right now......he is still a breathe of fresh air as a promoter compared to that cocksucker :deal

I swear to god Bhop is the most over mythologised fighter thats ever lived!
His resumes even worse than Joe's and he got beaten by the somewhat unspectacular Taylor TWICE!!!
I'm not saying he's not talented but a bit of objectivity please!:patsch

Oh and I hope this fight dosen't happen. What would've been a pick'em 5 years ago will now just be an uneddifying spectacle.
Also its a very clever get out clause for Hopkins as I imagine they expect Warren will refuse their offer. Warren will not want to loose his cash cow for the sum offered.
The offer made to Joe is excellent, the one to Warren poor.
