That's right :yep Fwank has put on two excellent shows so far this season. The Burns card in Scotland was great, two even match ups with the main event producing a new British title holder and a FOTY candidate. The co-feature was an untested prospect going in against an experience fighter and whilst a lot of us slated Warren for it the prospect came good. Nice matchmaking. Then last night we had one of the best British cards we've seen for quite a while. Great matchups and great entertainment from start to finish. So instead of complaining about shitty stoppages that weren't really that bad let's salute Fish Eyes for once Long may these great shows continue :bbb
I'm on board. Maybe Frank knows to make his next mega star he will have to take risks and make the big fights. And at this stage of his career he has nothing to lose in all honesty he has already made decent money, most of his fighters other then the likes of Degale, Gavin will be only getting small money and they won't be yielding hugely without a genuine top win and having top pedigree.
Yep i think he deserves a pat on back for this. I think he's got to point where he knows he needs to match his fighters in exciting bouts not only for them but for boxing the sport itself and the sport where he makes his money. He a smart guy and knows that shows like last night capture the attention. He also takes more risks with fighters. Whether that's because now he feels there's no point padding a guys record for him to walk off once he reaches top of mountain..lets not forget that's happened 4 times to Warren with Naz,Hatton,Calzaghe and Khan. I think this is a big reason why he now lets his young charges fight the best from the get go.
I've not really noticed other promoters during fights, but Frank is right in there with his fighters. Shows real passion, gotta love that
Credit given where credit's due no doubt. If Frank sticks to his guns and betters the Mag 7 show with the one in Dec we could be in for something special.
It was a great show. Every single fight had moments and intrigue, even Macklin's show pony fill-in fight. Well done to Warren for putting on a card that was packed with competitive fights. He gets a lot of stick for protecting his guys, but I think last night showed he will take calculated chances.
It looks like he's finally shot of the WBU and he is moving his guys along swiftly and also ensuring they fight for domestic and euro titles. I'm happy.
excellent show. I hope it sold as I would rather watch that than the Oising ***an vs Khan **** we've ben served up in the past.
Amazing night in Brum other than the idiot football fans in the corner. Frank I tip my hat great matchmaking
Have u never been to a Maloney show? Always in a neutral corner, poking his head through the ropes (well, under the bottom rope perhaps) and shouting to/at his fighters. Trainers probably hate it but no denying the passion.
If there's more he could really please British boxing fans. Would be fantastic to see another stacked card in December like rumoured.
