Gee, that was really profound. How about you answer my question now. If your going to make a statement like that, I would love to see what your basing it on? Any links or evidence of any sort? How about you think about THAT and then get back to me.

The Aboriginies are very talented when they put their minds to it. The problem is, they lack the motivation and commitment to get the best out of themselves. They often don't like leaving their families too.

They also can't handle their ****.

Exactly. SO in the end not many of them overall are overly successful. Pretty hard to claim to be ultra talented but then on the other foot say : but we just don't try hard enough. Not good enough IMO. Sure they are naturally talented i admit that. I don't know if i would say " the most talented race of people ON EARTH" though. Pretty big statement right there.

It'd be too difficult to claim any race as being the most talented.

But aboriginal athletes have a claim amongst the top 5 for sure. Considering the total Populace of Aboriginals globally is less than 500,000 they've done well to represent themselves. Unfortunate it is again hard to compare as many have achieved great status in local Aussie sports such as AFL and Rugby and not so much global sports.

Time will tell whether Willie has more natural talent than Mundine.:yep
If Willie reaches his full potential, he can succeed more than Mundine, coz Mundine does not push himself hard enough in his career to bring out the most in his natural talent.
If he keeps fighting bums, his talent wont get any better.

    He looks ok.

But to be honest he looks a million times less explosive than Roy Jones.

He is quick, but in upper end world title fights that speed will be un-effective speed IMO.

Joe is far more skilled than either of them.

This Kickett is just some guy who happens to have a few fast twitch muscle fibres in his arms.
Mundine is probably better than this guy.

His arms move quick (without the technique, power, timing and accuracy of a Calzaghe or Jones though), his feet fast that is it.

    :lol::lol:

Jones has been calling out Joe lately, Id still pick Jones now cause of what he was then that's how far superior he is :deal

We've seen how Jones deals with his loss of reflexes and footspeed. Not well. Calzaghe can now box his head off using something called skill.

Now if prime Jones fought like Calzaghe, Joe almost equal reflexes and speed would make Jones feel old early! The advantage would only be small physically, handspeed wise and non-existant footspeed wise. It would teh same as a shot Jones. He would hurt Joe with a few right hands, but Calzaghe would be unbeatable against him. Because as we know, Jones cannot cope without the huge speed and reflex advantage. You know it makes sense!

I'd say they are a very naturally gifted race, a lot of it is lost on the international scene due to AFL, Rugby League and Union being regional sports more than international, and these are the sports the kids grow up on, BUT if you want to see an aboriginal who will do extremely well in a world sport, look no further than Patrick Mills. Playing College ball in the US for St Marys, the guy is a machine.

I agree totally with Kegsy . Also fighting at a lighter weight will be a big plus for Willie with his speed it will hard for anyone to get near him "if" he gets allot more rounds under his belt against quality opposition . His defensive skills look pretty good , but I would like to see him tested against some really good fast , technical boxers . Mundine looks fantastic against bums , but when you see him tested against quality opposition ( such as Kessler ) presssure takes its toll . He seriously needs to start fighting more quality to get to the standards of Calzaghe and Kessler. even a loss or 2 Mundine will learn a hell of a lot more and improve out of sight if he is put under pressure. I think he should start with Sakio Bika ... a good test for him in a few months once the eye improves.
Willie definately is oozing with talent , lets hope he keeps going in the right direction . a rare find in the boxing world , but mental attitude is the key to any sport . mentally strong = physically unbreakable
    :thumbsup
