second thoughts about who will be victorious. I just finished watching Money May/Hatton 24/7 and i have a funny feeling about this fight. Hatton looks in absolutely tremendous shape. I predict PBF to pick off Hatton coming in but my goodness lets not forget how tough Ricky is. He will eat shots all day but he will also dish out some inside roughness that PBF hasnt experienced before. Your thoughts...
Mayweather will lose 2 rounds max, and you can put me down for an avater bet for that. :deal Though, as I understand it, you still need to host one from the forum and jameswilson. :yep
I've picked Hatton to win - I've got a month off bet on it. I might be going out on a limb here, but I haven't forgotten just how ruthless, relentless and intense Hatton was vs Tszyu. The guy just doesn't know how to quit when he's hungry like that, and I think he'll be in the same frame of mind when he fights PBF. I think Hatton is capable of upsetting PBF with his ferocity and relentless attack, and we'll see PBF under pressure like he's never been before. People keep saying that Castillo and even DLH put him under pressure, but not for 3 minutes of every round like Hatton can (again, see Tszyu fight). It will be interesting to see how PBF copes with it, he may well adjust and win on points, it wouldn't surpirse me, but there is no way Hatton will be the walk in the park all the PBF nuthuggers seem to think he will be. In fact, a lot of them are starting to change their tune from what I've seen - they're starting to say stuff like "I may have to re-evaluate my stance on this fight" because they ran their mouths off before they actually saw Hatton in action :yep Anyway, if PBF wins, I'll be happy taking a month off, because I KNOW that it will be PBF's toughest fight yet, and he will not come out of it unscarred - we will finally get to see him uncomposed and uncomfortable in the ring, which will be worth it :yep
I think Mayweather wins quite easily by a wide points unanimous decision. 118-110. 24/7 & the countdown shows are great to watch. The first episode of this 24/7 series i thoroughly enjoyed.
I am going Hatton all the way , for the following reasons. 1) Hatton is pumped and focussed 2) He is going to chase Mayweather all over the ring not allowing him to settle into his defensive mode . 3) Hattons body shots ... they are going to take a huge toll , the man can hit! 4) Just gut feeling ... I fell K.O. via body shot round 8 or 9 ... Cheers !
I'm with you... i reckon Hatton's got it. My biggest doubts aren't Mayweathers talents - Hatton has the tools to deal with everything he's got (except maybe the speed which he wont have encountered before). Its Hatton's mindset that concerns me. He's had a few big fights now, starting with Tszyu... he's a machine and will do what it takes to win the big fights but this is his 3rd huge one and I just wonder if he will have as much fire for the win as he did against Tszyu and Castillo... The worst thing PBF can do is stand and trade and get pulled into some kind of brawl like Tszyu did... but PBf relies on his speed and will use it for the whole 12 rounds.
im leaning towards hatton...but i like the fact that floyd seems genuinely pissed off at Hatton.... Hatton is in amazing shape as is floyd i just dont see floyd doing enought dmage to ricky through countering to slow down the onslaught... lets not forget that ricky (and it pains me to say it) walked through some of Tszyus best shots..
The funniest bit was a minature Hatton whupping ass in kickboxing. A head shorter than his opponents and knocking him down with a spinning backfist! What was he like 6? Gold.
Did he kickbox when he was a kid? Someone else on the general forum mentioned that he'd been fighting since he was a little tacker too - I never knew that, don't know much about his history.
Yeah hes been fighting since he was a little kid. They showed a few little clips when he was kickboxing at a very young age. These doco's are really entertaining, not just for fight hype, but just knowing the boxers more.
I think the fight depends on how much the referee lets them fight on the inside. Mayweather will win by alot if Hatton isnt allowed to work on the inside.
