I always check out his divisional rankings every week,i was surprised to see in his latest rankings he has macklin ahead of pirog. Pirog first off is a world champion. His wins against Jacobs and Jantuah i reckon anyway are better opponents than anybody macklin has beat, asikainen included, would macklin beat jacobs? Even the common opponent of the 2 ,ajetovic, macklin made very hard work off, pirog practically won a shutout against him.
Rafaels rankings are horrendous. You realise until this week Macklin wasnt in his top 10.....so a win over the georgian is what put Macklin top 10!!! if you want real rankings........http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=224146
pirog would be way too dangerous a fight for macklin to consider right now. He absolutely blew away jacobs who is by no means done just yet
I'm glad to see him railing against the WBC. It is totally wrong to have rankings skewed by bias and corruption. To have them dictated by sheer stupidity is, apparently, totally fine - to err is to be human and all that.
so does the ring http://www.ringtv.com/ratings/middleweight/ pirog is really overhyped he beat an untested yank prospect in jacobs.
ring rankings are done by respected boxing experts and insiders.esb ones are done by you, they are a joke and worthless.
That's a bit of a joke considering Pirog has better wins, is a world champ and performed better against a common opponent. Pretty much any way you look at it Pirog is on top.
Silly rankings. Pirog would finish Macklin in a matter of minutes. Like someone else said, I doubt he even saw Macklins pitiful performance over the Georgian.
