As of right now, based on merit, both Okami and Marquardt are more deserving of a shot at the title then Belfort.

Please don't confuse me as suggesting that I wouldn't love to see the fight, I'd LOVE to see it, but damn...at least fight in the weight class (in the UFC) before you get a damn shot at the title in said weight class.

Even someone like Alan Belcher is more deserving of a title shot. Better fighter? Probably not, but clearly more merit in the UFC in the middleweight division.

And the guy hasn't fought since UFC 1 0 ****ing 3! And that was at a catchweight of 195 pounds!

That was how long ago? 12 months?! And this is a guy who has only fought TWICE at middleweight in his entire career! First being July 19, 2008 against Terry Martin and the other being January 24, 2009 against Matt Lindland, both under the Affliction banner.

See a slight problem with all this?

"Vitor is not injured. He is going to fight anderson for the title and the winner of marquart and okami are next."

Not really, although I do I understand your point. But athletes get injured. And Vitor has enough experience to warrant a title shot at MW, even to the detriment of experienced MW's like Belcher. But that's just my opinion I guess

Well, agree to disagree, I suppose.

I'm worried about him going into the biggest fight of his life after over a year of inactivity.
