Should Chisora take the 'big, big offer' from Wlad?

He should definitely take it. He's probably nearing his physical prime at 26 and it's unlikely this will come around again in the future. Chisora has improved lately, but I still can't see him working his way towards a world title shot the traditional way. Might be best just to roll the dice and have a go.

Saying that, it's VERY likely he gets stopped quickly by Klitschko. Hmmm.

Feck it, he should go for it. If he's getting good money for it. If he loses and he still wants, he could build himself back up for another title shot at some stage.

But will it be his biggest pay day, Rob? I mean, Wlad's the champ, he calls the shots.

Warren seemed confident he could secure improved terms.

First I've heard of it, but why the **** not?

Point 3 is the biggie for me and is what I instantly thought of as well. Just imagine it:lol:. It would give Warren a golden opportunity during the promotion to bash Haye as well. Points 1 & 2 are the major reasons why he should take the fight.

Exactly. Chisora has nothing to lose and, if the stars align and pigs start flying, everything to gain should he pull off a mega upset; either way, this potential fight is still bound to the biggest purse he'll ever get.

That said, it's still a shot at the genuine HW world title and I'm sure Warren would get the promotion spot on. I reckon Warren could get the fight on SBO and I also think the Klits would be all to happy to let Warren stack the undercard out as well.

You can't berate one fighter for not taking the fight for one reason and then excuse another for the same thing, Rob.

Fun promotion, good event and another one-sided Wlad domination. Count me in:woot:bbb.

Its a huge decision to make. He could lose, never recover and never be more than a journeyman. He could lose, learn from the experience and become a much better fighter. He could even win.

Alternatively, what happens if he turns it down and loses one of his next fights? This fight is only worth turning down if you can be sure you'll eventually get a shot at the title by working up the ranks

So long as Jonathan Banks isn't on the card :yep

If it is genuine he simply has to take it. It's like pulling the bird of your dreams and turning her down incase you **** it up :nut

    Again, spot on.

Chisora has a good start to his career but it's too early to say either way whether he'd make it.

On Wlad's part, I'm reluctant to criticise them for looking at the likes of Chisora - given that everyone seems reluctant to get in there.

Haye ran like a sissy, Povetkin is hiding behind his trainer and the rest are just sitting on top 10 spots doing nothing. It's the biggest prize in boxing..... Muhammad Ali, George Foreman, Evander Holyfield, Mike Tyson, Lennox Lewis..... Derek Chisora :think

I think Chisora should take the fight. He is probably not at his prime right now but when such an opportunity comes I believe you have to take it becuse it may be the only one you get. Chisora has a good a chance as anyone else of beating Wlad...not much but I will cheer him on every step of the way in this fight and also enjoy seeing him take a beating.

He should take it. He's got nothing to lose and all to gain. Aslong as he doesn't take to much damage in the ring it's all good win or lose.

The lead up to the fight would be brilliant. Who reckons Chisora's got the balls to plant his lips on Wlad's?

I agree with all that. I'd rather see this match up than him fighting Tyson Fury. Chisora looks like he has the personality to take a defeat and come back from it as well. No disgrace losing to Wlad in only your 15th fight.

And who in the hell wants to see Tua vs Wlad?

Chisora would definitely be more competitive. All Tua would do is just stand there and be tattoo'd.

He was always overrated and couldn't be arsed training for the Lewis fight - the biggest of his life. He's hardly going to be arsed now when he's years past it against a champ in his prime.

Are you sure he actually said that? To me it just sounded like he wasn't sure whether it was the right time.

No he shouldn't. There will always be opportunities in the future. The fact Wlad is offering Chisora the fight now after beating Sam Sexton shows how devoid of options he is.

Sam Sexton to Wladimir Klitschko is not a good look.
