Another nuthugger. If you really believe Shane Mosley was scared of little Floyd after the people he's fought win or lose you're sadly delusional and a little bit naive.

As I said, Mosley got dicked on by Winky-Wright in their first fight and he still stepped up and fought a rematch. Thats not someone scared of being outboxed.

shane wasnt scared to fight him, bt when they did fight and floyd pushed him back he lost his nerve, he thought he would hold centre of the ring and dish out the punishment.

for the first time in shanes career he had that look in his eye that says i dont want it anymore.

I think ''scared'' is an overused word in boxing anyway.

I fail to see how one man can be scared of another, unless they are armed

''Scared of losing'' perhaps. Is Floyd scared of losing?

    Yes, absolutely.

He's a naturally gifted, supreme athlete - but much like Roy Jones he's not dared to be a great fighter. All the best fighters lose.

    Leonard 3 times
    Ali 5 times
    Hearns 5 times
    Hagler 3 times
    Pacquiao 3 times
    Morales 6 times
    Barrera 7 times
    Marquez bros 5 times each
    Lewis 2 times
    Holyfield 10 times

    etc etc.

That's what I'm referring to, scared of losing. Of course, actually being physically scared is infantile, thats not a boxers mindset.

Mosley is not scared of losing and never has been. His competition says that, he's fought guys at weights he really didn't have any business fighting, like Winky-Wright. He didn't pick off faded guys or older guys at 154lbs, he fought the best and got beat. Then he rematched and got beat again.

Mosley is a warrior like Pacquiao, these are guys boxing should be proud of. They've lost before and so losing isn't even an issue. For Floyd its a huge deal, hence he wants to always take the calculated risks rather than really gambling.

everyone is scared of losing, if they werent they would not be where they are in the sport today.

To say mosley is not scared oflosing is ludicrous, maybe you should uase the word outright stupid. pathetic choice of words their on your behalf.

Shane was intimidated by floyd in the ring, if floyd tried or attempted to go for the stoppage in the mosley fight he would have found it.

Mosley was thoroughly outclassed out thought out fought and out muscled by the greatest fighter of this generation.

Carry on hating but Manny has fed on mexican left over after mexican leftover.

He only deserves credit for cotto and barrera wins, even for those freddie openly states that cotto is ripe for the picking as he has been hit by bricks.

    Get of his nuts

    ESB tip:

Never argue about a fighter with a guy who has that fighter as his avatar. Its an exercise in futility.

Being scared of losing is a big problem over here too.

When Amir Khan got KO'd everywhere was full of ''his career's over'', ''finished'' etc, and Duke McKenzie was in the studio saying it will be a long hard road back ''because there's not a weak champion''.

Why do we always target ''the weak champion'' ???

It's pathetic really. Surely going for the better guy is more rewarding, personally speaking?

Plenty of people target the weak one and get beat because they underestimate the guy, and end up with nothing. No title, frozen out domestically and so on.

The more rewarding way is to beat the weak champ, make a few defences and then unify against the better guy.;)

I'm not the biggest fan of Pacquiao but to say he only deserves credit for the Cotto and Barrera wins is just dull.

Even though I think Marquez won both fights, Pacquiao still deserves credit for firstly giving his all and secondly going pretty much even with an opponent who stylewise was pretty much his worst nightmare.

Morales - okay he was all but done by the time of the 2nd fight, but he got the job done. The 3rd fight was meaningless.

It's all revisionist, that's the main point.

I'm a Leonard hater, but I'd never say.....

    Benitez - small, can't punch.
Hearns - weight drained, glass jaw.
Duran - still hungover from the night before
    Hagler - past it.

    etc etc.
