It doesn't mean that I don't agree with a lot of the other points mentioned, its simply another part of the tv production that could do with improvement or at least a bit of consistancy.

what i would say is Sky also seem to have made an effort to build up fights or at least put them into a certain perspective with the casual viewer.

Rendall munroe and Jason Booth's situation were explained in the Molitor fight, Clev was brought in for punditry on Bellews fight, Khan for Murrays obviously seeking to build up or put some perspective on certain matchups

Good thread. Only fair that we give Sky a pat on the back when things improve, as they very clearly have

HBO do not employ Buffer, the promoter hires the MC even in the US. But usually, HBO shows have bigger budgets and they are able to afford Buffer. There's being times where Buffer has being in Germany for a Klitschko fight and there's being a HBO fight on in the US. The US promoter then brings in a different MC, sometimes that can even be Lennon on HBO. Buffer was hired by Sauerland for the AA-Taylor fight.

The **** thing is we don't have any really good MCs. For the big cards Fwank brings in Lennon but it'd cost too much to bring him in for every domestic card.

Things are a lot better than they were.

Having some new faces in as pundits has really freshened it up and cleared out some of the cobwebs of asslicking and mass agreement.

Watt seems to be less biased so far (note: less not completely) and seems to be giving some actual analsis instead of droning on all the time.

seems like all the complaining got through and someones given them a good kick in the arse to up their game. cant complain much at the recent coverage

Sky has improved... the only pundit I like is Nelson, this is because he has a wealth of experience in the good and bad, knows the struggles and highs. Watt still annoys me like hell, always talking over everyone and talking crap like when a good shot lands in the first round he goes 'he clearly does not want and looking for a way out...' Be quite!

Nelson was excellent as commentator on Friday, didn't shy away from criticising the 'house' fighter (Bellew) when he deserved it
He didn't try making excuses for him as others have in similar situations

In fact il go a step further and totally agree. Sky have put some money and work in recently and things have been far more than decent. I hope they continue the good work:good

I'm interested in the reasons why the following posters voted 'nay':

ashishwarrior, Bad Dog, Right Hook, silverman, slimjim

I'm not saying that anyone is right or wrong, but I would like to hear why people believe that Sky hasn't improved in the last year or so for boxing fans. What sort of changes would make you happier with their service?
