one champ one governing body all very good but all under gbp sounds abit dodgy to me it definately would become corrupt. never trust a man who dresses in womens clothes:deal
Never going to happen. I doubt the fighters would want such a thing either. A fighter at the moment has options.
This is crazy talk - what Oscar is talking about here is a promotional monopoly. I am all for a new governing body to control rankings, stamp out corruption and make sure the fighters are looked after but this is ridiculous.
yeh its literally impossible to do. Goldenboy are not even the number 1 promoter in there own country.....let alone UK and Germany.
The problem is not the business model but the promoters in charge. If they worked together instead of entering negotiating with their “mines bigger than yours” attitudes the fights would happen. How about some promotional head to heads? Pick 4 weight classes and each organization brings their top fighter at the weight to do battle. If they create the demand, there is plenty money to go round. The idea that you need to put your competition to the sword is past century. Companies end up making poor business choices to try and squeeze the competition but it frequently drives them into debt as they overpay and purchase assets just because they don’t want someone else to have them.
