The Lack of FOTY Candidates in 2010?

These fights all have lots of potential.

 

I've seen this post about 20 times now, and almost never does the OP mention more than one of my top five fights of the year so far:

1) Daniel Estrada vs. Angel Alirio Rivero
2) Antonio Escalante Jr. vs. Miguel Roman
3) Hugo Cazares vs. Nobuo Nashiro II
4) Topo Rosas vs. Simphiwe Nongqayi
5) Giovanni Segura vs. Ivan Calderon

Coming up, I think that Marquez-Katsidis and Nishioka-Munroe both have great fight written all over them.

 

Lopez vs Marquez could be fight of the Decade so I think we are doing ok.

 

Marquez-Katsidis definitely, though im not sure about Nishioka-Munroe, it'll be good but I think Nishioka can control Munroe handily enough.

 

Good list. I think it's fair to say, though, that neither HBO nor Showtime has had a banner year. That's especially true for HBO, which frankly has been awful.

But there's some good stuff headed our way to close out the year.

Antonio Escalante v Micky Roman

Ricky Burns v Roman Martinez

Ivan Calderon v Giovanni Segura

Watch these fights before you start saying some bull**** like Froch-Kessler, seriously.

 

Cleverly vs. Murat was another really good fight.

 

For me Froch V Kessler will take a lot to be beat, and rd 12 could be rd of the Year.

 

I'm expecting Lopez/Marquez to wind up being FOTY
