Well, BigBone, the reason I heard his father asked him to stay out of the Pro's is because he wanted his son to 'fill out' while still an amateur (as petnik said), which I thought was a bit silly considering that most fighters spend their whole careers 'filling out' and Vasyl is already 22. He's not a 19 year old kid that hasn't matured yet, he's a man, he can spend the next 2 years building his record while he 'fills out' some more.
If the reason is National Pride then bless him, it's my nation too, I'm not going to complain... but don't go talking about weight.

He lives in Belgorod-Dniestrovsky (former Akkerman). But he spends a lot of time out of town training with national team in Kiev or abroad. IMO first thing you should do is to contact Boxing Federation of Ukraine http://www.fbu.net.ua/ to know his schedule.
This seems to be address and phone of the gym in Belgorod-Dniestrovsky

Already looked through Internet page.. Doens't have on. Doesn't have a facebook profile or any social networking sites.

Thanks for wonderful suggestions.. How DO I write email to fightnews or any of their correspondents. Just never done it so not familiar. Or to Dmitry Mikhakchuk?? Don't have any of their emails.

If anyone knows Alexey Sukachev nickname let me know... Is he a writer?? Fighter?? Who is he?

Thanks for the help... Vysotky gave me some info that might help so I might just be going soon :)

    who is Usuk???

So you're saying he comes to America often??? That will even be easier?? How do u know that? I know he was here in 2007 when he lost at world chapionships to the Russian guy but I don't know if he has been to America since..
About money.. I'm sure his dad doesn't mind too much but u can tell by his interviews that he is waaaay more tempted by money cars especially since he isn't all content with his salary from Ukrainian boxing federation.
Either way he loves to fight and train. And has discipline to stay amateur so good for him.

Oleksandr Usyk is the most talented Ukrainian amateur after Lomachenko. 6'3 HW very very fun to watch.

He is from Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi, which is not far from Odessa:
    http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&q=bilhorod-dnistrovskyi+ukraine&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wl

He's training in boxing club "Akkerman", which is run by his father and trainer - Anatoliy Lomachenko. The city is not too big, so when you get there you'll be able to find the club for sure.

This is official site of the city: http://www.bilgorod-d.org.ua/index.php,
their contact info is at the bottom:
    e-mail:bd_vvp@mail.ru
    тел. 8 (04849) 3-59-40.

You might want to shot an e-mail asking for the club directions.

I heard the Klitschkos wanted to promote Lomachenko but don't know how that panned out. Vasyl has a great pro style already along with excellent power and a tight defense. He's one of the most promising future prospects and should go very far. He should have already went professional instead of wasting more time in the amateurs.

A promoter needs to fly out with a huge bag of cash as a signing bonus to drag him out of the amateurs which is a waste of his talent.

Hey bro... thanks for the info!!! Really appreciate it.
With him having so many international competitions it's prolly best idea to try and call the club itself and ask when he's around do you reckon???

Either way I know where to start now. So thanks.

Yeah, as an american i can truly say that i've only seen that kind of reflexive talent in a young pernell whitaker, but with a more effective aggression. Vasyl will most likely win the val barker award again in london.
I'm truly amazed at the things he does inside a boxing ring. Even more impressive than gomboa if you can fathom that. Lomachenko has to be
the most talented caucasion fighter in history. If his am game transcends accordingly as a pro then he will totally crossover eastern european boxing to the states. His style is a moneymaker for sure. Future HOF'er!

He should fight in germany, unless he can get on HBO or somthing, cause the money in germany is big, i mean they got about 10 fighters over there that sell out 15,000 seat areana over there, they love boxing.
