Hatton v Pacquiao...who wasn't shocked by this? Barrera v Hamed...Even though he was up against Barrera, Hamed always seemed to find a way to win. Didn't think Barrera would beat him the way he did.
Muhammad Ali getting licked by a 8 fight novice in Leon Spinks was huge. especially considering the benefit of the doubt ali always seemed to get on the scorecards. Plus, you had the recent form of Spinks in there with Ledoux and it sure was hard to see him coming out with the win. But he did it.
Australian ones: Danny Green KO Roy Jones Jr in round 1 (He's old but Jones was still the heavy favourite to win) Ricky Hatton KO Kostya Tszyu Lionel Rose d Fighting Harada (if I was alive to see that) I guess some of the more historically famous ones: Max Schmeling KO Joe Louis Muhammad Ali KO George Foreman George Foreman KO Joe Frazier George Foreman KO Michael Moorer Baldomir d Judah (Although Judah is so hot-and-cold with his performances)
Bradley vs Witter. Witters performances never really stood at but i loved his style and he was a decent champ, I'd never seen Bradley til then and the commentators over here didnt give him much of a chance
I was deverstated, worst I have ever felt after a fight, I was in a shitty mood for a couple of weeks. I believed Naz when he told me he was the best! On a lesser note, I had followed Haye through the ams, been to a few of his fights and had then went to every one of his fights in the UK as a pro. I was sure he would walk through Thompson and it looked as though he was going to but Thompson hung around and Haye punched himself out. I didn't see that coming at all!
Pacquiao Vs Hatton Pacquiao Vs Cotto Mosley Vs Margarito All of these fights I was sat there thinking "WTF?" as the events unfolded.
Byrd-Tua That fight really made me a fan of boxing, and not just knock-outs. I didn't watch boxing outside of Tyson Fights before that, but I had caught clips of Tua knocking people out so I tuned in to see him cream this guy. Turned out to be a pretty awesome fight.
actually, talkin of Tua,, in all but the hometown robbery draw bull**** Barrett - Tua (especially that last round -wow)
- tyson biting off a man's ear in the middle of a fight. - i was in shock to see hatton get **** pounded flat out in two rounds by pac - i was in complete shock that oscar shut it down for the last half of the fight against tito. that was the fight of the century and i snuck into a bar at 16 to watch it. off the top of my head early in the morning at work that's what i got that i was alive for. shock is a strong word so i'll keep thinking.
Unexpected fighting: Calzaghe dominating Roy Jones - I knew he would win, but DAMN...that was rough. Hatton vs. Mayweather - I was surprised that Hatton controlled the pace of the fight and stretched it out that long. I hadn't seen anyone do either of those things in a long time. Sanders vs. Wlad - I was completely speechless. WTF Moments: Tyson vs. Holyfield - The Bite Fight Golota vs. Bowe with the race riot breaking out Cintron vs. Williams - I'm still trying to figure out wtf happened there
