It sounds like morrisey gets all his information about the fighters from boxrec and as for his mc job at that Lee fight it could make a grown man cry
For the first two minutes of every fight Morrisey simply reads every stat off a BoxRec print out for each figther. How the **** is paid money for what he does is beyond me. I understand that this is a nationwide terestrial TV broadcast and the info has to be watered down to appeal to all - but the moronic level of commentry and interviewing would simple not be tolerated for any other sport. **** I HATE LOVING BOXING!!!
Not very good articles on Lee admittedly. How the **** the second guy claims to be 'ringside' beats the shite outta me. http://www.sportsnewsireland.com/2010/10/03/lee-outclasses-lowry-in-horseshoe-casino/ http://www.fightnews.com/Boxing/lee-destroys-lowry-62080 No news there on Coyle
I thought when he mentioned rigo he was going to give Gary Hyde a mention but obviously he hasnt a clue that hyde is irish if he did he would have mentioned something about a local Gaa club near where hyde lives...
He needs to stick to gaa or football and leave the boxing commentating to someone who has a clue but in saying that dave Mcauley,Jim Rock,Mick dowling and Dunne are all decent pundits most of the time.Dunnes a good edition especially

Personally I think everyone should ease off on the slagging of RTE. Fact is, its a national TV station doing its best to promote a minority sport that we love. If you want Max Kellerman or Johnny Nelson and are happy to pay the extra money fair play to you all. I for one am happy not to be forking out the extra dough and just accepting what I am getting for standard non pay per view (and all th BS that go's with it). Also, as regards to non boxing experts in the commentary etc - I for one think it is good that people who are more recognised with the majority sports, like GAA/ Football etc are involved as it might win the average joe who only watches occasional sport.,
