It's one I got badly wrong, the odds weren't good enough for Margarito by stoppage so didn't bother, thankfully. Watching it the next morning I was expecting every round for Margarito to pull his finger out and take it to Mosley who looked **** in his last fight..... only for Mosley to up the ante and get rid of him. Thats the balls about betting over here. I dont have access to a credit card so I canty use the online sites and the local betting offices offer shite odds on boxing. I remember going into the betting office on the Sunday morning to collect and the cashier said the result aint in yet. I says I was up till 5am watching it. He ****ing won and she juust handed over the money. Should have tried the same thing the morning after my losing bets
There must have been a reason Leonard came back, in hindsight. I'm biased as you know, I'd expect nothing less from the calculating *******. If I'd have been a boxing fan back then I'd have been gutted that Leonard won. Proper gutted.
We were all pig sick when Leonard crept back out of the woodwork to subtly bait & challange Hagler knowing damb well he was on the verge of retirement. We all knew what Leonard was all about & although most of joe public thought it'll be a miss-match most of us new that Leonard the spitefull ego maniac had been waiting for this moment to pounce after hiding safely down a hole for 5 years, he'd deliberatly set out to steal Haglers karma & hard won glory like the calculating snake he is. But i can't feel one ounce of pity for Hagler as he sold his boxing soul that night, he did'nt need Leonard, there was no longer the need for the chip on the shoulder as he was excepted as the main man now & P4P king, he had it all to lose & ****-all to gain, he should have staged an event like leonard did in 82 when he made Hagler looked like a duped jilted bride when he announced his 1st phoney retirement so as to avoid cretain defeat at the hands of a prime Hagler. Marvin should have just said "**** You Ray" & good bye boxing & that would have been the end of Leonard as he had absolutely no chance against the up & coming young guns such as Nunn ect......... Leonard knew his man:yep He knew Hagler's pride would be hurt/wounded & insulted by the challenge & Leonard would be lauded by the arse licking press as a true braveheart suicidal gladiator & Hagler fell for it & sold his soul for the $$$$$ & willingly became a clown in the Leanard Circus giving in too all Leonards demands on 12 rounds/Ring size & gloves & thats why i just can't forgive Hagler for allowing that chalatan back onto the scene to manipulate boxing to his own ends as per usual. Yep. I had the ''plot'' pretty much right but didn't expect Froch to be able to put it on Taylor early enough. If it was over 15 rounds you'd put your house on Froch in the last three rounds, but over 12 there were definite ??? over it. Even though he (Froch) is a better fighter than Pavlik I let Taylor off the first fight given that he was apparently tight at 160.
