    This has to be one of the dumbest post on ESB.There is no level playing field in sparring. The sparring partner is brought in to be a punch bag you ****ing idiot!!!

    Almost all fighters do the exact same thing!!!!!!!! Do you really think fighters train and sparr with 8-10oz gloves???

    I've been in the gym several years and I think maybe ONCE I've seen someone spar with 14's, let alone 12's.

    You always spar with 16s because it's SPARRING.

    I can remember Freddie Roach saying that Pac had to always get new sparring partners from time to time in training camp ,now we know why.

    If you insist on using 12 oz. gloves during actual fight, does it mean that during sparring you are using 20 oz, gloves? To protect that brittle hand.

    when you spar you wear bigger gloves, but damn 16's are a bit much. i thought the norm was 14.
