You've obviously been watching boxing a lot longer than me so have probably seen it all before.... plus I'm about as controversial as it gets :hey

I know how you feel..... they (Liverpool) have still got a long way to fall before they are relegation candidates..... I'd love a boring season for us but even now it's not happening.

The fans are getting optimistic as well, won't be long before they want a new manager.

If Groves had just spent the last 2 years saying

"yeh it be good to fight DeGale one day. It will be a massive fight in a few years. If it was to happen now there would need to be allot of money on offer and it would need to be on a Hayemaker show as i am Commonwealth champion"

i would have no problem. but fact is after his next fight he will bring up DeGale again in his post fight interview. Do you think if Junior Witter was offered the fight with Ricky Hatton after the Thaxton fight for 50k he would of turned it down?

the reason that everyone got there hopes up is because they thought Groves and Booth had the bottle to call Warrens bluff. For me if you are offered a career high pay day for a fight that moves your career forward and you don't accept it, its a duck, no matter what the circumstances are surrounding it.

I have never tried to make out that Hayes ducking of the Klitsckos adds to my overall discontent with the situation. Adam Booth is the problem here. For me he is the worst thing in British boxing at the moment.

wouldn't be shocked if Martin O'Niel is at Anfield by christmas. Liverpool are going to struggle for a very very long time.

Thats the thing mate, thats just how things work and I understand that people want to "vent" on forums but Groves-DeGale and Wlad-Klit are scenarios that have happened time and time again.

Rob knows his boxing, he knows £50,000 is soft purse for this fight and that Warrens offer wasn't a serious one but because David Haye made a bit of a mug of him over the Wlad fight his whole stance on Groves-DeGale is dictated by that rather than common sense.

"Calling out" again Rob. Boxers lie. Don't take it to heart.

Rumour was that Witter turned down £150,000. Thats just the rumour though....or did you believe Witters "I'll fight Hatton for free" offer as well (please tell me you didn't!!)?

"Duck", I'm sorry Rob but thats just childish. What about Booths offer? Both his and Warrens were bollocks, neither promoter wants the fight now. Can't you see that??

The news that this fight isn't happening has shook me to my boots so hard, I'm considering my position in the sport.

Only 2 choices Gaz? I thought you would have had "both" as well...

I like to give people a little credit.....;)

I started the thread as a bit of fun after spending the afternoon watching Liverpool get trounced in the pub. Reading back I think it can maybe come across as a little harsh rather than lighthearted, if thats the case I apologise.

I stand by the general sentiments behind the poll though.....;)

    I know what you mean.
'Twas insanity to think that Hayemaker would have accepted a great offer for one of their guys to have a fight in which he might lose.

No disgrace in losing at home to Blackpool though. Maybe you need to be less naive at what level Liverpool are.:yep

Will we get away with a "what's gone wrong at L.F.C. thread on here?

There seems to be a few fellow kopite boxing fans knocking around.

    Sad isnt it?
You'd expect more intelligence from a successful businessman or is it an accountant or IT consultant or international jetsetting playboy. I can't remember.
