Okay, he isn't slugging...but he is throwing a large amount of punches, aka, slugging.

Yeah, he sure did, but he still wasn't throwing a whole lot of punches. I'd have to go back and watch, but if my memory serves me, I don't think PBF did a lot of leading against SSM, even though he was coming forward most of the night.

When Floyd got hit hard twice in the 2nd round against Mosley he kept coming forward.Floyd and Oscar fought the last minute of their fight walling on each other and Floyd took the shots and landed some bombs as well. Floyd, has a great chin, but he doesn't fight stupidity.

IIRC, floyd got hit with a big left from DLH in the last round of their fight and took it no problem...not to mention he was caught with it in the middle of a flurry when he most likely didnt see it coming as clearly as if he waiting to counter, and he still took it rather well.

He threw and landed enough, and they weren't Pitty Pat shots either, its just that Mosley despite being very faded still had a good chin, and a good punch, which saved from being stopped. Floyd also did the same thing against Judah, Chaves, Castillo (1st fight), Hatton, Corley, and Gatti.

What a stupid thread. Anyone who is one dimensional enough to approach every fight with exactly the same plan is going to lose. Floyd is too smart for that. He is 41-0 because he can adapt to any situation and win under any circumstances.

Your thread is basically asking, "Would Floyd be 41-0 if he was stupid instead of smart?"

Excellent post. This was exactly my thought when I read the thread title.
