The Robbing of Emanuel Augustus...why?

    He fought on short notice, usually in opponent's hometown. Augustus was no crude brawler with limited options, like someone above said. He could box a mother****er's ears off if he was in the mood. As a brawler he was on a level with Gatti and Ward, at his best he could outbox either of them without too much trouble.

    Augustus is just a guy who would fight anyone, anywhere, anytime for any amount of money and that's not a good long term strategy in this game.

    Thanks for all of the interesting comments. I know some of it he brought about on himself, but my ultimate question refers to the OVERLY BLATANT robberies (which have nothing to do with his previous dives/antics, etc). How could the Courtney Burton fight be UNANIMOUS...as in ALL the judges AGREED that he lost a fight that he obviously won? How does that happen A LOT, and so DRASTIC?

    This is essentially what made me post this topic. He CLEARLY beat the guy, and again...it wasnt even cleverly disguised robbery.
