Sugar Ray Leonard Even though he ran like a ***** against hagler damn he was good made mayweather look ponderous tbh
For me its Julio Cesar Chavez. I think his combination of offense, defense, stamina, and know how, gets it done against all types and styles of fighters. I believe Chavez was the absolute complete package, and he proved it by beating all types and styles. A fighter that should be on the poll is'nt.......Evander Holyfield, he's my second pick.
For me it's a tossup between Sugar Ray Leonard (wins over Duran, Hearns, Hagler) and Manny Pacquiao (8 weight division world champ by Nov. 13).
I like SRL. But Pac has more balls than him. SRL didnt fought Pryor. He waited for Hagler to get old and get only a disputed decision. He admittedly lost to Hearns in the rematch. Pac has the more impressive resume. Pac destroyed all legends in his era. While SRL just beats them barely. Disputed SD with Hagler, Gift with Hearns2, and with the help of stomach Cramps against an old Duran.
I can't rate Leonard the highest. He's one of the most gifted and astounding-to-watch boxers I've ever seen in my life, but he played too many games with rematches, timing and 'the system', and in his later career benefitted from his 'golden boy' status to the extent that he went into certain bouts three points up before the fight had even started. I had him losing both to Hagler and in the Hearns rematch. Having said that, the first Hearns fight ... wow ... simply incredible. One of the greatest performances ever.
