My pet hate is having the word British abreviated to Brit...:fire

Do the right thing and make it read British Fighter...:good

Khan clearly has earned the chance to be part of the development score but he is v lucky that Yafai wasn't there because he would not be able to hang with him and thanks to the lack of research by the press he has been getting a lot of press and calls for him to be in the GB team.

Welshman Andrew Selby issued a damning verdict on Haroon Khan's belief that he is the best flyweight fighter in Britain ahead of their Saturday afternoon showdown when a Commonwealth medal will be at stake.

Selby said: "Haroon's had many chances with the GB squad but he's just ended up getting hurt. I'm not the greatest at sparring but I still did him. He rushes in without thinking and I'll just pick him off."

Looks like Selby for all his loud mouth bs is going back home empty handed and Khan got a medal for Pakistan.

Lexar, you seriously are deluded if you believe they were not fully justified in their position of not selecting him

Rob McCraken who I believe is also Carl Froch trainer and incharge of the Olympic and commonwealth team dislikes the Khans.

Also I dont see him representing the UK now because Rob McCraken said:

"Haroon was on our radar and if he had performed well in competitions and shown significant progress he may have forced his way into contention for 2012. However, he has denied himself that opportunity by choosing to fight for Pakistan."

So basically Khan should have sat on the bench and waited a couple of years so he MIGHT be on the Olympic team :rofl

    Khan got the last laugh.

What are you talking about? He wasn't picked because he wasn't performing to the level required. Those who were picked had earned their chance, Haroon had not.

Don't worry about team GB, they're doing fine, bags of medals.

What's so difficult to understand here? Yafai was considered the better fighter, had to pull out with injury, at which point Haroon had already signalled his intent to fight for Pakistan so they're hardly going to go and pick him then are they?

More than anything its unfortunate for all involved because it seemed like the guy would rather not have fought for Pakistan but having done so he was driven on to up his game in these circumstances.

nothing against khan, but beating the welsh entry in the games does not prove he should have been picked for the england team
