    If he had a solid chin, maybe he would have. But, unfortunately for him, his chin was one of the worst of the last decade among rated fighters.

    Zak, you are a good guy and I like you and you are smart.

    Are you autistic?

    No-offense intended.

    :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

    Spat my drink out. **** :twisted:

  6. For one he was chinny and fat and never engaged his opponents. No tears wasted from me for this average fighter.

    Yup... a fighter with a decent punch who got lucky under the circumstances. Good for him for winning the title... but we all know he's never been anything truly special.

    Well I certainly don't agree with that. Jersey Joe Walcott, Ezzard Charles, and Gene Fullmer all attained a certain level of all-time greatness and all those guys were KOed by a single punch at one point of their careers.

    Same goes for Roberto Duran, Jones Jr....and wasn't Pac KO'd too?

    Too many idiots with chin fetishes on this site.

    Not by the calibre of opponents that LL faced in those losses. Both were journeyman. Maybe i should have rephrased that :D

    Ahh yes, Jones and Pac as well. :thumbsup Not Duran though... he was softened up by a lot of big shots before that final epic right hand crashed into his face in the Hearns fight.

    Rahman reminds me of Buster Douglas in that both were really good fighters who didn't always have their hearts in the right place and didn't always train but, on one night they put it all together....What could have been and what it should have been, had they consistently prepared like they did on those nights, will always be overshadowed by what they actually were...

    Agree strongly that Rahman is underrated. He had it all when champ, and gets a bad rep for coming in non-motivated it seems at times. But he has accomplished a LOT in his career, never ducked anyone, has fought nearly any name opponent you can think of over the years and is still at it.

    I'd love to see him back in the spotlight again, but I'm not sure he has the legs to compete anymore, he has been in some serious battles. A lot of his losses/draws were controversal in the early stages of his career - And I am surprisd so many jump on him about the James Toney incident. Would YOU fight James Toney with 1 eye?

    Anyhow, agree that Rahman is underrated. I wish him the best, I really hope he gets 1 more title shot. He is fighting Jean Marc Mormeck soon which is an interesting match up but I think Rock has this fight.

    If Rahman hadn't landed that 1 single punch on Lewis this thread would never exist in the first place.
