The BBC have an article up about Dirrell being the third boxer to pull out of the Super Six competition ....Abraham is guaranteed a place in the next round. Apparently "Germany's Abraham beat Taylor AND Dirrell" in his first two Super 6 fights.

Shocking boxing research there by the beeb. Who'da thunk it?

The Super Six is all but dead now. A great concept, but ultimately it proved too ambitious in a sport as unpredicatable as boxing. Before, it seemed to be setting up the best fights in the division, but now it seems like the tournament is now getting in the way of other interesting fights happening. Why can't they just drop Green and have a straight knockout tourney between Ward, Johnson, Froch and Abraham? Just get the damn thing done and dusted now.

I don't think we'll see a tournament as ambitious as this one appear any time soon after the difficulties this one has had. A crying shame as it seemed like it would be great for the sport. It's now just descended into a complete an utter farce:-(.

Man, Ring TV's recent all-star report cards were littered with mistakes. They had Kessler still being promoted by Palle and that Cotto lost to Manny in his first defence of his WBO title (it was his second, he defended against Clottey before).

So, if a mainstream boxing rag can't get it right, I hold little hope for the BBC.
