It still showed that two American rookies were far and away superior to their veteran European counterparts. If not for the super six, most likely Arthur Abraham would have stayed in Germany fighting bums, Kessler would have cleaned out the German cab drivers union, and really the only negative was that Froch probably would have fought Dirrell and the fight would have probably been in America, and Dirrell wouldnt have gotten robbed but that really doesnt matter, vast majority of people know Dirrell is vastly superior to Carl Froch.

Now if Dirrell does have neurogical damage thats bad and ends a young promising career before it really started. And if the tournament gets canceled, Bute probably wont fight Andre Ward. He'll most likely duck him or move up to 175.

But all in all the tournament answered alot of questions. And might actually attract more talented fighters to the 168lb division that its been lacking over the last 10 years.

It proved to me that @ 168lbs, AA is the hardest puncher.

AA is a helluva puncher. I've always said that. Froch and Kessler dont have real power. They can blast out a journeyman pretty easy, but them in there with a really good fighter and they'll struggle to get KO's.

AA on the other hand has one punch KO power.

No matter who won what fights or even if it ends tomorrow the super six gave us one thing that is missing a lot from boxing today...the best fighting the best (except for Bute).

It did just by making sure that most of the guys within a division, do face each other. That's all fans really want and a solid effort was made to deliever it.

We were guaranteed some great fights !

It proved that the fighters of today are a far cry from the fighters of the past,in the past fighters would complain about not getting enough fights while the spoiled pussies(theres exceptions) of today are always looking for ways out of fights if they think they have no advantages over their opponents.

Yep. I can guarantee Kessler would have never fought Ward otherwise. Abraham probably would have never fought Dirrell. But that might end up to be a bad thing in the end.

Dont know whats up with Bute to be honest. He might actually have some skill but seems to not want to dominate the division.

Froch and Kessler may not have the explosive power of AA but i do believe both have KO power. It is more a case of them not having the necessary speed and skills to deliver those KO punchers at the very top level. Especially Froch.

Its been a great competition but its proved nothing yet because nobody has won it!! What it has highlighted in a big way is the advantages of fighting at home

I would be shocked if this dirrell injury is much more than nothing, all pointers are to foul play here, ward and dirrell are slippery customers, inside and outside the ring, that much is clear, they would make a great couple imo

I wouldnt be suprised to see dirrell fighting fit as soon as they deem enough time has passed to see it through, nice
