Before the fight was announced, Margarito was a shot bum. They said Pac would kill him. Now more and more people are picking Margarito to win. When did he stop becoming a bum to become the most live underdog ever? Were people hating just to hate in the beginning?
I never wrote him off anyway, i think Pacmans gotta be the favourite just cuz he is the force he is but Margarito has advantages galore if he can make the most of them. Surely it cant be the Mosley defeat, what happened before the fight must of rattled his concentration big time and ofcourse he was outclassed too but styles make fights and Pacman will be right infront of him and he takes shots himself.
Because they wanna make Margie the villain!! The scandals about the wraps, the fact he is Pac's biggest, heaviest opponent to date... The fight is like a goddamn monster movie!! And when Pac beats his ass up, the victory will be hyped as a credible victory
People calling him shot after Mosley are just idiots- he's always been a threat due to his size and activity and chin. Whether his punching power is affected significantly from not being wrapped in paris is something to note during this fight, and might be worth rewatching mosley for... He's probably training his ass off for this fight. He has everything to win, and Pac has everything to lose.
if you notice in almost every fight the closer the fight gets the more and more people think "hang on maybe he could win" odds are slashed all the way to the first round
he never did. Margarito IS a shot bum whos best win of his career came when he had loaded gloves. He has no chance whatsoever in this joke of a fight.
Was it Public enemy that said it best? " Don't believe the hype"? Bums on seats? Pay per view numbers? "Won't loose to a white man"? etc etc blah Ahh **** come on ever since before Jack Johnson this is the way it is... Honestly? I think most in here are fans of the sport enough to watch it either way - but to the casual fan of boxing/ Pac? It all makes sense,, just turn off your radar to all the bull**** till fightnight mate - and you're right - it's not so much a mismatch (which it most certainly is) than Haye-Harrison,, but it truly is a disgrace to give Margarito a shot after (Cotto?) -the handwraps,, period.. I'll still be watching,, but to be honest due to the way it's come about I just can't really even bear to read the hype this time round due Marg being in the same boat as the whole Resto-Collins (wasn't it -'Murder in the ring documentary? Ya know) thing . Just plain **** Margarito- regardless of what happens come fight night,, even if he wins, **** him

It just leaves a real bad taste in the mouth this fight - so as for me:dead
Fans of fighters tend to hype guys up once their guy is committed to them. If Floyd was fighting Margarito, I'm sure he'd be facing a washed up bum, who Mosely retired. And was too cowardly to face Mosely. And only faces bums other people have already whupped.
