Degale just too quick and the natural Super middle. I think Smith can still make middle.

Degale stays off the ropes , takes ring centre , uses the jab and wins most rounds.

Paul does have the power , but his punches are kind of wide and a little slow for the level of Degale.

    UD Degale.

    DeGale UD

Smith cut in middle rounds due to slashing shots of Chunky. Smith tries to impose himself on DeGale but after a nip and tuck opening DeGale's more variety in terms of skill and style helps him win a good fight.

De Gale points or late stoppage,Smith is pretty average, will most likely turn the fight into a messy boring clinch fest like all his fight, hopefully De Gale beats him and we dont have to see Smith anymore..

I think picking Degale to win this on points is a dangerous pick, he's the bigger man, quicker, better boxer but Smith is now a seasoned 12 round strong fighter and we don't know if James is capable of fighting at a hard pace for 12 yet. He might well be and he's with the right trainer fitness wise, but if he's having trouble with the weight as evidenced by the Dilks fight this could get interesting if it does go late.

Degale EASY, Smith is not in his league and foolishly took the fight although one thing I do give him credit for is taking the fight and I highly respect him for that.

Smith could win on points but if he cuts I can see the ref calling it off instantly. They let him fight being cut to ribbons against Dodson but if he's cut against Degale the ref will stop it.

    I voted DeGale by KO
I don't think Smith can handle his speed or variety

Tight and debatable Degale points win in an ugly scrap.

    Possible rematch.

Chunky is a classy operator but his defense needs improving. I have noticed that he has a habit of deploying a “chicken wing” defense where he tries to block shots with his elbow. Smith could have a lot of joy by battering him with body shots as he clucks away.

Round 1, Degale flicks out the jab, refs stops fight.
