Exactly. Its one thing when a fighter maxes out his potential trains freakishly hard and then falls short but quite another when he doesnt. Also the guy actually has a pretty good set of whiskers so far. There is no excuse for not being in shape at least.

The sparring he'll get with Wlad would do him wonders! I also think there is nobody in the world who trains big tall heavyweights as good as Steward.... this a good move for Fury if he does train with him full time.

I'd like it to be different but I just don't see how it's possible. He needs so much work doing. Like someone above said, His only hope of ever going above domestic level is to forget popularity, fighting regularly, building his name. Stick with Stewart, train train train train for a few years with a fight here and there, he needs completely redeveloping

How so? I disagree i think he has some decent raw tools good jab fast hands decent stamina for someone of his size even when out of shape. Im not saying hes the second coming of Lewis but in this weak division he could definitely do something. Time is on his side.

Not long ago Chisora was interviewed after one of Furys ITV fights at York Hall and he didnt want anything to do with Fury, now look where he is

Well, you shouldn't read into the Chisora thing, if Chisora didn't want the fight then it was because he thought he was ahead of him or something along those lines, Boxers very rarely ever fear another boxer as they are deluded of their own abilities.

Onto your first point, I agree he has some decent raw tools, but they are very raw. They need developing beyond what training he's currently getting if he's to make anything of them. The most concerning thing is his physical condition, I find it very difficult to take someone seriously in boxing when they turn up fight after fight in that state

I can't believe this ...someone in Fury's camp has gone to the top.
    Steward's seen it all.

Good move for Fury, he could of done with doing this a while back.

Will be interesting to see what they do with Fury though, Fury is not particularly effective fighting off the backfoot imo, he seems better on the front foot being aggressive, so will be interesting to see whether Steward works on that aspect of his game, having said that, I dont think Wlad is particularly good when backed up, I think he gets disorganized, then again, Wlad can still drop his power on you when backing up, Fury does not have that.

Its really weird how everbody has a go at fury about his condition (which is fair enough) but not every heavyweight is like the kits, look at sexton and chisora in there last fight. Both were not what you call cut, and one is 6 foot 1 and the other is 6 foot 3. Tyson is 6 foot 9 and only 22. His body is still growing into it's self and when he does then the power will come along with proper coaching. He's got the fundermatals and is up for a tear up, with a tweek her and their, then you never know he might be half decent. He's english champion being fat and clumbsy!!!

Fury looks better at close range where he can pepper his opponent with quick combinations. Will be interesting to see whether Steward tries to make him fight tall and utilise his jab and physical advantages, or whether he harnesses his natural inclination to fight on the inside.

But having said that, Fury hiring Steward as a permanent trainer is nothing but speculation right now. We'll have to wait and see really, but If I was Fury I'd be doing everything I could to get him on board. If he can't tap into Tyson's potential then who the **** can?

Its the anamoly of seeing a fighter that is simultaneously fat and gangly that sets them off.

The longer someone has boxed, the longer their habits are ingrained, the longer it takes the change them. Fury needs a total overhaul, anyone who thinks that on his current path of how he trains and fights thinks he's ever going to go above domestic is day dreaming.

Over the course of the last 2 years many notable trainers in the US heard of Tyson Fury, due to the publicity he was getting here in combination with his name, and raised an interest... until they actually saw him fight.

If he was an unknown training with Stewart then perhaps he wouldn't have the distraction or expectation that he currently does and would train accordingly, but that isn't the case. I imagine he's going to pick up a few things, then continue as he has been doing.

From his physical shape I can only assume his team don't agree with road running, or have some gypsy boxer wives tale about how if you eat 5 pies with each meal it makes you strong
