Exactly. I would have to rate Maskaev's achievements higher at this point & he has the REAL WBC belt.

Solis doesn't have enough fights yet & he hasn't beaten any "names" to be considered in the Top Ten. The potential is there even if he does appear to be a fat-body and he's a bit older than the normal age of a prospect.

agreed. i respect peter's performance against wlad much more than his 2 toney performances and that's the only reason he's in my top 10. toney was badly overrated as a hw and a stationary target w/no punch. Against wlad, how could one not gain respect for peter w/all the punishment he took but continued to attack. But his continued dirty tactics, ego, and singing have turned me into a hater :D

Before the mccline fight, i had him the #2 or 3 hw, but how could his stock not fall after that debacle. ring continues to rank him #2 which is a joke since he has no legit belt. he beats maskaev, then u can at least make an argument.

    1-Waldo :yep
    2-The White Tyson :patsch
    3-Iggy :hi:
    4-Maskaev
    5-Povetkin
    6-Valuev
    7-Scam Cheater :yep
    8-Virchis
    9-Juan Carlos Gomez
    10-Chambers

I agree somewhat but Peter should rank higher than Povetkin or Valuev. The rest of the list is cool.

    1) wlad
    2) RUSLAN
    2) sultan
    2) maskaev
    5) povetkin
    6) ruiz
    6) sergei
    8) peter
    9) thompson
    10) VIRCHIS

    just missed: brock, chambers, byrd

chagaev, sultan and oleg are all about even in my book and would be toss matched if they ever fought each other.
Povetkin def deserves a top 5 ranking because of his clear win over byrd who at the time was still a legit top 10 guy
ruiz earns a high spot because of his SD loss to ruslan and a what most people thought was a terrible decision loss to valuev.
peter takes a major dive in my rankings because of his awful performance to mccline who is barely on the top 20 bubble.

notables: valuev barely makes my top 20 list because of his clear loss to ruslan, ruiz, and what most germans felt was a shaft against that montreal prospect bergeronon (sp)??? rahman is completely shot and doesnt make the top 30 in my book - he is a gatekeeper now.

I only give him the high of a ranking because he had close matches with both Chagaev and Valuev that could of went etiher way, I dont like Ruiz either, but I cant deny him a fair spot.

Fighters should be ranked on results. Ruiz LOST those verdicts. And it's not like he didn't get quite a few questionable nods - particularly the Golota fight - and still kept that title. I won't even get into the excessive holding and faked "low blows" in other fights! :patsch

But don't worry - somebody actually put him at #6, which makes you're rating look positively reasonable by comparison!! And then there's someone who had Golota at #5!! Some of these lists are WACKY!

    Here's mine:

    1. Wlad
    2. Peter
    3. Chagaev
    4. Maskaev
    5. Ibragimov
    6. Valuev
    7. Thompson
    8. Briggs
    9. Virchis
    10. Povetkin

Who the hell did Iggy beat? Briggs and Holyfield, compared to Peter who beat Mccline and Toney, Toney beat Holyfield and Mccline beat Briggs recently. I think its very fair that Peter is at the 2 spot, Maskaev has been inactive for awhile while Peter is active and beating the oppenents put in front of him. Chagaev is only guy that I might see putting in front of Peter, but he hasnt fought since April which makes me swing towards Peter to be at the 2 spot.

Peter vs. Iggy, or Chagaev, or Maskaev, would put an ungly Red mark on his 'ok' carrer record. He still needs some fights and some time, although I am not too sure he will get too much better than he oready is.

How is Peter ranked higher than Chagaev, Maskaev or Ibragimov? He doesn't have a REAL belt and Maskaev KO'd Rahman for his WBC belt, Chagaev UD'd the Giant for his WBA belt & Ibragimov UD'd Briggs & Holyfield (one of your favorites)?

I would suggest you rethink your ranking criteria, Peter belongs just above Valuev since the giant has those questionable victories and doesn't have any belt. :deal :thumbsup

I agree about Chambers. I just dont see him in the top 10. I think once he fights the top level guys the **** is going to hit the fan for him. He might be fast but his size and power are lacking
