After last nights performance do you think haye has any chance?

I think he does his work rate is good and he has the power to cause an upset.

  2. The main reason I wanted to see this fight was to see how Vitali has aged so I could judge him against possible future fights against better opposition he hasn't faced yet, Povetkin, Ademeck, Chambers, Boystov, Haye, Solis and the like. To my surprise he put in a phenomenal performance, that of a man in his 20's and won every round clearly in style. If he wants to he could probably fight elite HW's until he's 42 I think. I don't think I have ever seen a HW at his age be able to throw so many punches before and still not looked gassed. Regardless who outside of his brother he fights next he will still be a massive favourite.

vitali has never been is the ring with anyone has quick and has explosive as haye..briggs threw such a little amout of punchs...seeing this fight as just cemented in my brain what is going to happen....haye will stop both wlad and vitali in brutal devastaing knockout fashion. :yep

I agree! he did look good last night but i still have this thought briggs stood there and just took **** for 12 rounds! so many times he could of landed bombs and he never!

Briggs is old, fat and has asma and did land 2 big punches and vitali looked like he shat him self i wonder what would happen with haye landing ALOT more shots ALOT faster and with the same power! Coudl vitali stand up to that?

Briggs did himself no favours in his approach to the fight.

Briggs put in a display as brave as I've seen in a long time but offered no threat afer the third and was standing in range with no guard and was basically a wheezing dreadlocked pubching bag.

I think Vitali would struggle against anyone with good footwork and head movement darting in an out of range ala Haye.

  7. vitali was really good last night. no one can deny that. he's the best heavyweight in the world. there's no doubt about it. haye has a puncher's chance. nothing more.

  8. Haye is not a pressure fighter, he is a cagey counterpunch fighter and considering Vitali has never been knocked down in his career and has never ended a fight behind on points I really don't see what he has to fear from Haye. If they fought I would think Haye would use the same tactics that he used against Valuev and considering how Vitali looked today I don't see that being a problem for him.

Haye does have a chance because of his power and he is fairly smart in the ring also, but haye is a total spoofer and will exhaust all options and then see if he wants to fight any klit, which i doubt he does anyway

I know Briggs was the perfect candidate for such a beating, but damn!
And Vitali looked like he could have gone another 6 to 8 rounds like that afterwards.
I'm even more impressed with Vitali right now. I don't think there's a HW right now who could even come close to beating him, except for his brother.
The current HW's better just keep up apperances (like they do now) that they might have a shot, cause reality will be a lot different. Except not every HW has the time to wait for that.

God last nights fight was boring, Briggs took a load of punishment, well done for that, but can't really remember him throwing anything.

As for Haye beating Vitali, in not convinced, however it would be more entertaining and he might actually throw something back now and again!

Nice way to discount Haye's speed of footwork and hands plus his sutle but decent headmovement and his much superior athleticism, dont get me wrong Vitali would be very much the favourate but Haye has more than a punchers chance.:good

I thought Vitali had his mouth open quite early like he was taking big gulps of air then i realised he had a a big piece of guttering in his mouth instead of a gumshield.

Briggs was awful and made it so easy for Vitali but Vitali did not look old at all. I cant see anybody in the top 20 beating him.

Haye has all the tools to beat either klit!!

the only reason I see Vitali beating him is due to his lack of stamina. he runs out of steam quickly and thats when I could see him getting taken out......

Herbie Hide was as explosive as Haye with better HW opposition. Larry Donald was far more skilled and as fast as Haye. Sanders was easily as explosive as Haye, if only for 3 - 4 rounds. Haye had competitive fights with guys like Fragomeni, Vitali's only real battel was with Lennox, one of the H2H best ever.
