theres alot of boxers fighting on way past there primes and putting themselves in danger. Personally id like to see these guys retire by the end of next year. 1. Evander Holyfield - over a decade past his best 2. Shannon Briggs - last nights beat down was too much for him 3. Enzo Mac - might have already/ if not should do after several brutal kos 4. Roy Jones Jnr - again way past his best - got nothing more to prove 5. Shane Mosley - only gonna mar his record by fighting on 6. Cory Spinks - looked finished against K9 7. Marco Antonio Barrera - one last go for glory and then retire as champ/loser 8. Eric Morales - see above 9. Hassim Rahman - should have retired a few years ago 10. Oliver McCall - should have retired even longer ago I left BHop of just in case he decides to beat up Pascal and another name next year. If he takes a beating then he jumps on the list also
agree on most of them but Mosley should continue and Morales and Barrera should make a last fight against each other. there are a lot more HW fighters that should retire -Vitali klitschko - nothing more too prove only getting older Haye won't fight him anyway - Ray Austin - Fres Oquendo - Hasim Rahman - James Toney - Harrison - Maskaev - Tua - Tarver - Juan Carlos Gomez - Michael Grant - Monte Barrett - Timo Hoffmann - Matt Skelton - Lamon Brewster
Enzo is still young, but should only continue if he is happy with fighting lesser competition and contending for the commomwealth belt. I'd add: BHOP Toney Meehan Tarver Glen Johnson Arslan Fragomeni Campbell Casamayor
More than anything I want to see Shane Mosley retire. He's been slipping downhill since his second fight with Oscar.
Why would us boxing fans want great fighters to retire even if they are past their primes? I respect them because even if they have nothing to prove or they have enough money (not all) they still fight because they love this soprt! we should love it as much as them and respect them for fighting today.
I haven't read anything official about him retiring but then again, permanent retirement by boxers nowadays are very, very rare.
I love boxing but some of these guys need a reality check. I don't want to see great fighters way past their prime get humiliated in the ring because they don't have it in them anymore. I have so much respect for these warriors that I want to see them relatively healthy when they do retire.
the guys that just really really need to retire are jones jr, holy, morales and barrera, i dont want to see atg **** up their legacy, also b-hop next year is good for retirement. And all of those lennox leftovers that keep fighting the klitschko's
-Chad Dawson -Timothy Bradley -Paul Williams -Floyd Mayweather -Devon Alexander -Andre Berto -Andre Dirrell -Andre Ward Fight Euro-level athletes or retire.
