Are you still watching the HW division?

It does not become interesting when they leave we get to see evenly match c- level fatass fighters face eachother when they leave I swear other the Klitschko's the rest of the HW's are only there because they eat too much and fatty's tumbling only has a comedic effect for so long.

Every fighter that has gone in against VItali says this stuff...and in my opinion they mean it...Then they get hit by that jab or the right and it all goes out the window....stop detracting from the fighters vitali beats and start crediting vitali as one of the best ring generals of all time...controls every fight!

As for the OP's question, hell yeah I watch the heavyweights. Every time a Klitschko brutally beats down an unqualified challenger... an angel gets it's wings. :deal

Heavyweights will always be interesting, especially when 1 or 2 guys lead the pack by such a wide margin. The fact is, at any point one of them can be upset by someone deemed a no-hoper.. and THEN it really gets interesting.

I've gradually come round to the opinion that the Klits are actually very good fighters but don't have the opportunity to prove true greatnest. The decent challengers (Povetkin,Haye) don't seem particularly keen to step up.
Untill they are I'm not that bothered about the hw scene.

 

i dont watch all fights live but most at some point i´m defo still interested in that division
i only wish more contenders would take on each other so some decent/exciting/even fights get made. but theres not much business these days

 

It really is something in between for me. David Haye is fun to watch. I like watching all the young prospects in the division. Vitali K while boring can put on decent fights much better than his brother Wladimer who bores me to death. So it really does depend. Like yesterday on the ESPN replay I watched all the Bute/Brinkley fight but didn't watch all the the Vitali/Briggs one. This had more to do with me watching NFL instead of Vitali/Briggs though.

 

I dont see why VK should move over, he is the better of the two for my money.

Its not the best to watch, but its your duty, as a Boxing fan, to keep up to speed with whats going on in the division, although I must admit, watching Tarver -Aguilera almost put me in a coma.

 

Saturday's heavyweight fight was a great fight, even though, it was one-sided. I would watch it again with no problem. Can't wait for Haye-Harrison

I think its interesting because, to a point, its anybody's game to win.

Below the brothers there is a dog pile battling for 3rd through 10th place. IMO, none of them are clearly superior to the others.

As for the top 2, I feel Wlad will become the unified HW champion and hold a long reign. I am guessing we will see him around for the next 5 years and he will exit in his late 30's when he starts to slow down some.

Vitali is on his way out the door now, and I'm guessing he will be gone in the next two years depending on which final fights he can line up. I think he is attempting to get a solid legacy in place but is hampered by the opponents available.

So, while the brothers are clearly superior to anyone out there, Wlad has been on the canvas before and Vitali has been stopped on cuts and is an older guy. Its not inconceivable that they could be beaten...just unlikely.

 

:rofl This is what's wrong with the HW of today and it's fans. They just don't understand how weak the division is. If either of the Klits were to fight during an era when the HW division was not so shallow against the likes of Tyson, Holyfield, Bruno, Douglas, Spinks etc. they would get raped. Look up any of these fighters on youtube and compare the workrate and pace of their fights compared to todays farces.:deal
