Toshiaki Nishioka vs Rendall Munroe: Predictions

no japans not like germany at all...its quite a fair place to box and if munroe deserves to get a decision then he will get it... saying that i favour nishioka in this one... munroe hasnt got the power or boxing ability to win this... plus nishioka has mixed in much better class

 

Dont know too much about Nishioka outside of his fight with Gonzalez, although I also saw him fight on the Hasegawa-Montiel undercard, but from what I have seen, he seems to have deceptive power, and he is a pretty straight puncher, which is likely to cause Munroe problems the way he walks in with those ear muffs on, as he seems open up the middle to me, that said, if Munroe is to win, he might need to tuck up well as he rolls foward, cut the ring off, and look to maneuver Nishioka around the ring, even if he isn't always landing, as long as he is making Nishioka get off first to keep Munroe off him, and making him work harder than he wants to, whilst banging that body to try and take Nishioka's stamina, then he could conceivably start to take over down the stretch by using his biggest asset, which I believe is his work-rate, then I could see him pulling it off, although its hard to know who to pick cause ive seen so little of Nishioka, although I do worry about Munroe's defense, he takes flush punches at times, that said, he is the bigger man, so he might hold onto the shots better, dont know man, its a toughie.

What Munroe will have to look out for, is leaving any separation between himself and Nishioka, cause I see him getting picked off from range.


Its against my better judgment but im rolling with the Brit, gonna be brave and take Munroe on his consistency, extra size, stamina, heart.

 

Watch Munroes fights .. he intentionally starts slow ...especially against Martinez his gameplan was to let Kiko punch himself out within 3 or 4 rounds then use his greater strength to outwork Matrinez.... its clever boxing but he will need a better gameplan against Nishy ! ... personally I think he will and Nishys body will be black and blue come the end of 12 rounds and he will have no belt to hold his shorts up :good

 

I have picked rendall on points, although its more heart then head thinking coming into this for me I think.

 

Nishioka KO. Unbeaten in 6 years, unbeaten at the weight, boxed in better company. Munroe for me struggling with the weight, slow starter, open to shots down the middle(Terrazes fight) just dont see how he wins. Fight in Japan

If he does win its the best awayday performance by a british boxer

nishioka will start strong and if munroe can make it past the 6th which he could do because of his very good chin then rendall could take over in th second half, i think nishioka wins a sd

It would be a magnificent story if Rendall could win Id be so happy for him. And I think he will

 

I'll go for the safe option, Nishioka by decision.

I think if Munroe can get into it, past the first few rounds where he typically starts slow without being hurt he could cause some problems down the stretch with his work-rate and strength. However I think Nishi might take those early rounds clean with his fast straighter punching, from there on it could be quite close but being at home the Jap will get it.

Cant see Munroe going to Japan and beating Nishioka hope he does do.

 

exactly.. japan is even pretty much the best place in the world to get a fair and square decision for a foreign fighter
