Well, hopefully (unlike Briggs) you have the sense to keep your hands up, and not eat every right hand throw at you for 12 rounds!

*and hopefully your corner won't stand by and watch you get your face busted in pieces, and your brain scrambled for 12 rounds vs a 6'7 250lb power puncher.

briggs was too brave for his own good, i think he and his corner crossed the line between doing your best and getting hurt, it was pretty obvious that fight should have been stopped, hes got some more respect now but at what cost?

Briggs, major injury was a torn bicep, most of the stuff said about injuries were not true. Briggs, tore his bicep early in the fight. That explains why he didn't throw it enough or kept eating right hands.

Important to say that the surgery is on his biceps so it's not as bad as it could have been.
The fight should have definitely been stopped at the end of th 10th round.

No way it would take 36 minutes, 2 max... So it isn't so bad, is it?! ;)

i think not just boxers but humans in general have the mentality that, "this **** could never happen to me." my gf always says what horrible job a boxer must have, but i always say these people are not doing it because have a gun to their head. they do it because they want to. there's not too many people in life that have a job they enjoy but i think most boxers enjoy their job, and to enjoy your job is a real blessing.

injured power arm = not even a punchers chance now so why keep fighting? pull him out.

    Vitali quit

    This is sad but true.

I have never doubted that Vitaliy would visit his opponent in the hospital.
