forrest before the mayorga fight was something else. murderous puncher, iron chin, tall as hell..........hard to beat.

cotto could seriously be in trouble because he would have to come in to do any work. his jab wont work against forrest. and im pretty sure that forrest could hurt him and back him up.

Forrest at 147 had good pop, skills, and a big frame...Cotto would eat heavy leather just to get inside, and when he does get in Forrest has the uppercuts...Cotto definitely could win but it would be a mountain to climb...

not as hard for Cotto as these people are making it out to be I saw Forrest-Quartey live at the theater in msg and Quartey clearly won that fight easy ! His jab smashed Forrest all night long and he is maybe an inch taller than cotto

 

I think Cotto would probably win now, i think a pre-Mayorga Forrest would win though.

 

Your logic here is all wrong guys. You don't look at who was more successful against Mosley. You look at how these guys would match up. Forrest IS NOT comfortable fighting people who can close the distance on him, and would have great trouble adapting to the style of Cotto.

 

Forest gets destroyed by Cotto.
Forest's punches would have absolutely no effect on Cotto.
Cotto walks right thru Forest.
I do not thinks that it would go past 3 rounds.
This fight wont happen.
