Actually, I think Bute would like to have a fight in the USA (he already had one, but it was like his 10th fight or something...), MSG would be a good choice, it would be neutral and I would easily see like 10K fans of Bute cheering for him in NY.:happy

In Canada, when speaking of boxing, you always need to separate "Quebec" from the rest of the Canadian Provinces.

You're right that most of Canada doesn't even know "Bute" but then again boxing isn't a popular sport right now in Canada, outside the province of "Quebec".

Everyone in "Quebec" now know Lucian Bute as well as Jean Pascal. Only real boxing fans know them in the rest of Canada. So basically, around 7 million out of a population of approximately 35 million, truly are aware of these boxers.

    lol

Quebec would be a disaster without federal funding and support.

That's a fight that would belong in Vegas, provided they have an excellent card to accompany their bout.

i'm a fan of both guys. but a fight in NYC would basically be a home fight for bute when you consider ward's people are 4 time zones away in cali. i just see this as being a stumbling block.

ward will presumably have the S6 tourney wins to barter with (for whatever that's worth when the thing finally ends) so you know they will milk those in negotiations.

I Hear ya but I don't want to see Ward fight in Canada.. this fight belongs in VEGAS.. I will be there ringside for this one.. Ward goes on the big stage under the big lights and Puts in work that Bute can't handle..

Ward/Bute won't be as big as Pascal/Bute and the worst in this, well Ward is even better than Pascal.

Interbox are making stupid move for him. If Bute lose against Ward, he will lose so much money that he could earn easily facing Pascal with a perfect record.

Going to be a sad day for Interbox the day the winner of super 6 is facing him.

no ppv has an "excellent" card to support the bout. but that shot at boxing cards aside you are right, they would have to put together something good enough around it to be Vegas quality

I'm against all form of equalization payments. Anyways, Quebec's economic condition is far better than Ontario's since the recession, and you'd be in deep **** without Alberta and Saskatchewan...:smoke I think Quebec could be ok without that money, it just takes a better financial management, not what our national clown Jean Charest has been doing for 7 excruciating years now.

Ward will refuse to fight Bute, but if he were to agree the fight would have to be in his home town, with his personal referee and judges. Watch and see.
