The fight the original poster was refering too was Lockett's fight against the australian Kevin Kelly, where Kelly's corner told him lockett had no left hand, only for Lockett to knock out Kelly with his left hand, minutes later.
You often see many corners on TV where 3 people in the corner are trying to advise the fighter...:nut Once voice at all times...:good
Derry Matthews' corner for not pulling him out after being knocked down 3 times in round 3 vs Choi. Got stopped after 2 more knockdowns at end of 5th.
that's what I thought of straight away. "Why ain't you doubling that jab? Double that jab, double that jab!"
yip Lou Duva totally ****ed up that night. telling Taylor he needed the KO when he was easily ahead on all 3 cards. He should have got on his bike in that last round!
Edgar Cardenas' corner for not pulling him out of his fight with Daniel Reyes, even though he was getting bits punched out of him and had been swaying around the ring for a round and a half before caving (The ref was a **** in that fight too..........and the doctor).
He wasn't - Chavez was winning on one card - Chuck Giampa's. The only card that scored the fight near to the truth, actually. They completely discounted Chavez's much better punches in favour of Taylor's volume. The HBO commentary has a lot to answer over the poor job they did that night.
