Dougie, very interesting clippings you posted of Jack Doyle "the Irish Thrush'. Doyle who looked alot like Billy Conn can be seen singing on
youtube, "The Rose Of Tralee". Doyle had a beautiful tenor voice.
Alas, he could sing better than he could fight.
Also you have a clip from Ring Mag 1952 of the Joey Giardello-Georgie Small fight 1952 at Eastern Pky Arena.I who lived a few minutes away, saw that bout.Georgie Small who I knew, was the fighter who kod
a great prospect Laverne Roach, who died after that beating. Sad...b.b.
