No he ignores the fact that boxers can have better stamina, punch resistence and coordination when they don`t have to cut hard to make a wieght. The increased power is a legitament statement. Seriously do people every really get that much more power when they move up in weight? You'd be lying to yourself if you said yes.

This guy knocked down JMM thrice in 1 round at FW and the first and only man to stop Morales, twice. His power was more evident in the lower weight classes. Its just that at this higher weight class, they have to deal with similar p4p power PLUS the speed their not used to, along with the workrate and skill.

I think this guy is genuinely misinformed. I don't think hes being malicious here.

He just cant believe Pacs rise thru the weighclasses and I can understand that.

Its a testament to Pacs legend

    Hmmm i wonder

Canbt really blame him though. If the testing system is so that its a doddle to pass then why not take advantage

Another to thing to note: The dudes he fought in the lower weight classes (MAB, EM, JMM) are /were much better than the fighters he has fought at the higher weight classes. Thats why he was struggling against the likes of Morales and Marquez more than the bigger guys...and combine the fact that Pacquiao has improved his skills since then. Pac is clean :deal

I'd like to see Berto in with prime versions of Ray Leonard, Tommy Hearns, Roberto Duran, Donald Curry, Pipino Cuevas, the list goes on and on.

I'm not in awe of Pacquiao's punching power as he's climbed these last weight classes........

......what I do shake my head in disbelief is how Paquiao has been able to sustain the same workrate and stamina he's had from his days as a featherweight and below even????

The sustained (maybe even better now) workrate and stamina as Paquiao has scaled weight divisions has to make anyone wonder.

Help me out here guys......what fighters in history who've climbed more than 3 weight classes have sustained their workrate and stamina like Pacquiao has???????

Its certainly not Duran, Leonard or Hearns.
Its not Toney, Hopkins or Jones either.

I think Chavez and Arguello come the closest, but even they did'nt come all the way looking better as they rose in weight. Even they slowed some in about every dept. as they climbed each weight class.

The fighters I mentioned had the skill that each could win fights without a high workrate, which is why they were sucessful in their weight climbs.
Pacquiao however is'nt as skilled as those fighters and needs a high workrate to keep the other fighters honest.

Pacquiao is a punching machine, always been and always will be.........those types of fighters look less capable as they rise in weight, yet Pacquiao is defying this law by looking more capable as he's climbed in weight.

......and btw, this bull**** that it only Pacquiao now getting stronger because he does'nt have to dehydrate to make weight does'nt wash........
......a bunch of fighters have been in this same predicament of struggling to make weight, and yet when they move to the weight class that they dont struggle to make weight at, they dont look better.......actually what happens is that their quality suffers from having to fend off bigger fighters.

From the 30 years I've been watching boxing, Pacquiao is the only one that seems to have increased his stamina and retained his quickness, speed, reflexes and power to the same level that it was at several weight classes below where he used to fight in.

In an era of PED's, no one is going to tell me its genetics.

C'mon *******s, give me examples of fighters moving up several weight classes and still retaining much less improving, workrate, stamina, reflexes, power, etc......?????

I've named several fighters to now that did'nt accomplish that......a few more.....Whitaker, DLH, Trinidad, MAB, Morales, JMM??????
    I dont think so!

Pacquiao is dominating just as much now than he's ever have. What other fighter in or past his 3rd weight class has ever done that????
Pacquiao is now in his what, 8th weight class?:lol::nut
    yet

I don't hate Berto that much so I spared him from Julian Jackson.

Roy Jones, James Toney, Ray Leonard, Henry Armstrong, Oscar De La Hoya, and others have dominated fighters in heavier weight classes. Pacquiao is just the latest.
