Pac's career/record/accomplishment will be better analyzed and appreciated 20-30 years from now when boxing fans/expert are farther away from their personal bias.

I have not voted in the poll but will guess that the people who voted for Sanchez also thought Pac lost or at best draw with JMM on their 1st and 2nd fight.

Ur licking jmm's nuts too much!
Pac in my book only needs 6 rnds to win in that 2nd fight with jmm.
Pac therefore won 6 rounds clearly imo: 1,3,4,9,10,11. with the 10-8 kd score in 3 that pulled it ultimately for pac to win it. Rnd 1 is the most contested here, some scored it 7-5 rnds for jmm, giving rnd 1 for him and i bet you did that too. However, if you watched that round clearly, and don't be fooled by jmm's punch that snapped pac's head, you will see that pac outscored jmm 8-3 punches scored. All 3 jucges scored it at rnd.1 for pac. Admittedly, before i was skeptical about it until some poster showed the pics of that rnd where pac scored the punches and so was jmm. Pac clearly scored 8 shots and jmm only connected 3. So the 3 judges were right about it.
Should we argue about 9,10,11? 9 and 10 clearly pac got it but if you notice jmm's work rate was down on the later rounds, and so was rnd. 11. Pac was still dictating there, weaving if he's in trouble and even connected a 3-punch combo that was left unanswered in the closing sec. of the 11th rnd. Pac was dictating it in the later rounds, well except the 12th were he was tagged a bit in the exchanges. Thus, pac won the 11th for me.
Pac won convincingly 114-113. End of story. I just hate it when sourgrapers like you wants to try to change history eventhough it was clearly a very close fight and people have different opinions about it like the 2 of us. Iam convinced pac won, you're convinced jmm won just leave it like that man and don't come back barging that it was a robbery when for me it was'nt. If jmm wants a rematch pac was very open about it, but after he's finished with david diaz. He has to wait!

The way he beat Gomez at the respective stage of their careers is enough to put Sanchez on top. I don't think people remember how good Gomez was. He was far from a one dimensional puncher, the guy had skills on top of that vaunted power. The fact Sanchez beat him - and it wasnt' even close- puts Sanchez on top.

Take away the Gomez fight and it's possibly up for debate. Pac may have beaten the bigger names but the guys Sanchez beat were into (or entering) their primes.

Here's how I rate the wins of both fighters together.

    1. Gomez (SS)
    2. Nelson (SS)
    3. Barerra 1(MP)
    4. Marquez 2(MP)
    5. Lopez (SS)

    Sanchez takes it IMO.

As for the thread question here is my answer, disregard any thoughts of nuthugging coz this is mere facts! Inever really lived at the time of the 80's when sanchez was still alive so i would only contribute on what pac accomplished on his career.
Pac for me won 5 titles in 4 different weight divisions counting the 2 ring mag. belts.
Pac won the wbc flyweight title (sasakul via 8th rnd. ko)
ibf superbantam weight title (ledwaba via 6th rnd. tko)
ring mag's featherweight belt( months after stopping mab via 11th rnd tko)
ring mag's superfeatherweight belt (jmm via sd)
wbc superfeatherweight belt (jmm via sd)
Pac is also a consistent#2 p4p boxer even for a short time being the #1 p4p boxer before, till pbf took it again.
He is also the first asian to win 3 titles in 3 diff.weight divisions but in my book 5 titles in 4 diff. weight divisions.
Now even jmm won't achieve those things and perhaps will never will. So until divac tries to bring back sad memories of jmm's defeat, i'm here to state facts not just petty opinions.:hi:

I think Pac has the better set of wins now, Sanchez top win over Gomez is possibly better than Pac win over Barrera, but it is debatable.

At this point it's Pac hands down. Back then you could say it was pretty even.

The thing is retired fighters will always have an edge over active ones especially when they left on a high note.

As of now its not even close.

    Pac's resume/legacy overlaps Sanchez's by a country mile.

so how about the combination of oscar, hatton, cotto and clottey? if brooklyn thinks pac is a top 20 ATG with victories over those lightweights amsterdam listed, how does he rank pacquiao now in hindsight? just curious with their answers now...
