Honestly, these videos never give a true reflection imo. I have seen most, if not all of Lewis's fights, and none of the fighters he fought in that youtube video that tries assert that he had a solid chin, managed to land what I'd consider a big shot on Lewis, people who did, and Lewis managed to stay upright, are guys like Briggs, Tucker, Holyfield 2, maybe Mercer.

Calzaghe was further from his prime than Hopkins. Look at him for ****s sake. People call him "slappy Joe" because at that point in his career, his hands were so damaged, he had to throw that way to avoid breaking them. He never sat down on his shots and was much inferior to the version we saw in the early 2000's.

You dont really believe that do you ? Calzaghe's age was not inhibiting his output, speed, or his reflexes. There is a big difference to being 36, or what ever Joe was when they fought, to Hopkins being over 40, ever year over the age of 32 is significant for most fighters, so when Hopkins is over 5 years older, I dont understand how you could make the assertion he was closer to his prime cause Joe had bad hands, I actually think Joe became a better Boxer because! of his bad hands, I think it helped him develop a greater appreciation for time and space, and made him a more fluid, rhythmic fighter, I truly believe that.

Does make me think though, how good Joe would of been, had he worked with a trainer who could of tightened up his punching technique, there would of been less holes for the likes of Hopkins to punch inbetween his more wider shots, and his accuracy would of been much better imo.

a brit beating an american in america on the scorecards doesnt happen very often does it, with the american networks influence he was probably expecting more of the same...even in britain, look at lennox for shithouse american desicions...or even worse a Sturm

How anyone with an average IQ can pick Hopkins to win this fight is beyond me... A draw is also completely out of the question...

If a foreigner wins on points in U.S.A against an American fighter you can be sure that he has earned his win...

Old popkins didn't do anything but hold and cry... The executioner seemed like a little girl who didn't like being slapped around.

His slapping busted Roy Jones JR's face wide open for the first time in Roy's career. His cut man didn't even know what to do. Roy's blood squirted on Hopkins who was sitting ringside...It may look like Calzaghe is slapping but look at the results. Sometimes punches look deceiving.

Slappy won the fight, slappy wasnt great but hopkins was even worse than him, he looked like he was about to collapse in that ring and was even faking low shots to survive, no way he won that one

Hopkins showed his age and Calzaghe showed he isn't as good as Lacy and Kessler made him look. All in all, a terrible fight between a man who was once great and another who was good, but never quite great.

I wish i could Ban all talk of this fight from existance. Such a boring fight. Even the highlight reels are Dull.

For the record Calslappy out works Hopking 4 of every 5 fights to a close UD or SD.

Hopkins will always land the crisper shots. but Calzaghe will outwork him.

Hopkins close decision are the norm in Boxing. Get over it. The fight was a Dull fest.
