Sylvia vs Lesnar

Lesnar has been humbled again and I Imagine that he will come back strong again. I have not given up on him as a worthy fighter unlike most seem to have.

Both have been exposed yet lesnar beats Sylvia with his wrestling , Sylvia cant defend.

 

brock is, essentially a very good fighter..i dont get the hate/disresepect for him..sure, he rubbed many up the wrong way at first with his wwe antics but thos has all gone, and his last two fights he won, and lost, as a champion should...lesnar needs to regroup, spend a solid 6 months working on his stand up and come back a more rounded, grounded fighter.....

 

Sylvia gets put on his back and kept there. If Sylvia came back to the UFC then this would be the perfect fight for Brock to get back on the horse.

You must be crazy. Remember what Sylvia did to Monson? Expect that but coupled with the beating he put on Pudz. Sylvia has an excellent TDD. He's also very heavy handed and a decent striker despite being slow as molasses. Too many are two quick to write of Tim especially after his loss to Ray Mercer.
Sylvia has ten times the experience that Lensar has. Even from guard he could easily pull out a sub. Too many underrate Tim's abilitys.

Tim is a much better striker and would totally destroy Lesnar with his boxing but I dont believe he can keep it there long enough. Lesnar knows his striking sucks this is why he charges at his opponet looking for a takedown ASAP in almost every fight. Sylvia has solid takedown defense but its by no means very good Couture tossed him around for 25 minutes another 205er Brandon Vera put him on his ass as well. Lesnar is too big, too strong, too fast with his shot he will put Tim down as many times as he needs to and eventually stop him with GNP.

 

Couture has excellent technique. His Greco is what enabled him to complete control Sylvia. Lesnar doesn't have that level of technique or skill. He uses speed and sheer brute force to get his opponent to the mat. He's hardly the next coming of Mark Kerr.

 

Agreed he surpassed Kerr a long time ago. Who exactly did Kerr beat to warrent this god like status he has from his prime ? Probably shouldnt have used Couture as an example but because Couture has great technique or better technique then Brock that means Brock cant take Sylvia down ? Brock was able to take Couture, Carwin and Cain all down at some people sometimes briefly but he took them down and his wrestling credentials speak for themself. The guy knows how to take people down and Brock goes charging like some kind of bull there is nothing Sylvia a decent takedown defense guy nothing more can do about it.

 

Timmay has too much experience for Brock

 

Sylvia will get put on his back and quick. His TDD is good but Sylvia doesn't have the co-ordination, speed, agility or grappling ability of Cain. He'll get put down quick and kept there.

Sylvia is a good fighter but people are underestimating what Cain had to go through to have his turn.
