    Good post :good.
Exactly that. Pascal has all of a sudden been elevated for beating Dawson, but people rate Dawson for beating Adamek who at LHW hadnt done anything and then beating 2 fighters 14-15 years older than him, and one had losses in the double figures and the other had lost to the fighter with double figure losses :patsch.

Except it people HOPKINS LOST TO CALZAGHE

Truth be told Hopkins doesn't need to beat Pascal, his legacy is already way better than Joe Calzaghe's

and I would consider myself a Calzaghe fan.

Of course I'd admit it. I'd say they're about even right now. Calzaghe never beat any really great fighters and Hopkins never really beat any great fighters his own size. If he beats the LHW champ at 45 that would be special indeed.

Yeah, Pavlik puts Calzaghe in the hospital. Has him leaving on a stretcher, KOs him inside of 3.

    Yeah right.

    Take a number
    Double it.
    Add eight.
    Divide by two
Subtract the number you started with.
    The answer is 4

Divine mathematics, man. So you think KP KOs Calzaghe in 4? Fair point, a little late for my tastes, but I respect it.

Fair enough. You think Hop schooled him. This match is cruel and unusual punishment. Kelly is a modern day Lamotta. I'm not hating on the guy at all but Cal would shred him. The answer to my question was 4 and it makes no difference in the number to start. I think Kelly makes it to 12 or its stopped on cuts. His left eye lol.

Naw man, Kelly Pavlik is a technician's technician. Great footwork, pumps the double jab constantly.

His face might not look pretty, but his double jab is magnificent.

He is not beating Pascal, and he was never better than a prime Calzaghe.

From a resume standpoint you have to give the edge to Hopkins if he wins. Winning the lineal title at 45 is kind of a big deal, and it isn't like 175 is a weak division or anything.

But yeah, it's not the fact that it's Pascal, it's the fact that it's the title.

But 'greater' in the sense of head-to-head, there's no doubt Calzaghe was better. But winning titles at this age is a huge accomplishment and will be noteworthy long down the road.
