    I disagree.

I think it's a miracle that a former flyweight world champion who was fighting at superfeatherweight a little over 2 years ago can now fight guys who have campaigned at welter and lightmiddle. A miracle. When has this ever been done before??!

Do you think in 50 years time that boxing historians are going to look back and say "nah, that former flyweight world champion made Miguel Cotto weigh 1 pound less than he did for his previous fight, that's not a great feat at all then"???:lol::lol:

Get over the "Championship Belt's" they mean **** in 20xx
Whatever makes a fight a 12rd fight is all I/we should care about.

A belt ain't what it used to be.

They are annoying. As if 17 weight classes isn't enough already.

I have cut weight in a boxing sense. Numerous times. And I know for a fact that there is no way in hell that a 12-week training camp to make 146lbs is any different in any way to a 12-week training camp to make 145lbs.

The very idea is pretty ludicrous, to be honest. Anyone who has cut weight through a prolonged training camp knows this.

hopkins fought dlh, winky and trinidad at catchweights. chavez-whitaker was a championship fight at a catchweight. leonard-lalonde was a championship fight also at a catchweight. trinidad-jones jr. was also at a catchweight.

ergo, championship catchweight fights have been happening throughout boxing history.

pac has fought in one and will fight another vs. margo. i can't fault him too much for it, him being a former flyweight .

Excuse me, but I can and will. If you don't feel comfortable bulking up to 154 properly, don't punish the other fighter by restricting what he can do, instead don't make the fight and stay at a weight class where you are comfortable.

Mr Wonderful: Could you stop talking about "Paclanders" please, you're making the catchweight thing sound like an anti-Pac thing, which is undermining everything.

like i said, championship catchweight fights have been happening throughout boxing history. prob is that you're zeroing in one one particular fighter which shows your bias/partiality against him.

and they're not fighting for the 'WBC 150 Belt'
