I used a bad example but the thread was about Khan seeming cocky and its just something I've noticed, shoulda used the example of when he called out Manny all those years ago after beating a nobody (cant remember who now, maybe gomez? who be fair is more then a nobody)

I agree with you that Khan gets ALOT of hate but he gets alot of love to. In reference to the cherry picking i belive that Khan would fight anyone but its his team around him who have been doing ALL of the cherry picking.

Do you think Froch's comments are fair? I dont think he says anything thats not true.

I think at this stage Joe still has the better names on his reumé (I think people go OTT with Joe's record though there are obviously ?'s over the timings on some), however froch's run from Pascal onwards is nothing short of awesome!!!

    Come on Frochy.

I think he smash's Queen Arthur!!!

Now that's a good example, but at the same time, what's so wrong about being ambitious?

I can't really go into detail on how he was talking as I haven't watched the clip of him saying that, but I'm assuming you did.

I disagree on him getting a lot of love. I'm classified as a nut-hugger but tell me how many Khan fans are here? Not many.

I just like to stand up when it comes to Khan and make threads and post on the guy.

People seems to find it a crime for doing such a thing and hating is completely fine. Mr NoHomeJerome once again, is my prime example.

I don't really understand the cherrypicking stuff.

I mean, who really fights anyone credible nowadays till their what? 25-30th fights?

Khan got devastated on his 19th pro fight. To say he was brang back the soft route is stupid. With a chin like his, what do people expect? To throw him in with a top guy?

Every fighter cherrypicks. No one in this Era doesn't look and think about an opponent before signing to fight them.

The comments on Khan? Nothing was not true in what he said. I just dislike the 'glass jaw' stuff. That's something I'd expect on ESB. He always does generally have a go at Khan, which I don't like, and I personally don't like the arrogance in his voice, but that's just me.

I love him as a fighter, not as a person.

Limond won the Commonwealth Title which is a step below the British title. In years gone by the Commonwealth Title meant something but nowadays the quality of challengers is quite poor. The British title means a lot more than the Commonwealth...you could ask any British boxer and I'm sure most would say that apart from winning a World Title the thing they'd want most is to win a Lonsdale belt outright.

You tell Rob to "know your belts better"..yet do you even know the prestige the British title holds? It's the oldest active belt in boxing and predates even the Ring belt. To simply dismiss it as worthless is quite arrogant. Yet you give credit to the IBO

Lazarus it's embarrassing to read your posts.

If you think that's bashing you must have had a hard time at school being 'bullied'

You rate a belt that would probably have no credit if it wasn't used in Ocean's 11 and yet the oldest belt in the world is dismissed as worthless.

Every British fighter when he starts out has his eye's firmly fixed on winning one outright (3 defences). The belt it beautiful and I would give my arm for one.

(for the record I know who owns the IBO belt used in the said film, I have held it and I didn't feel like a champ, more chump!!!)

Fair comments but as for Khan having no love he could sell out pretty much any venue in the UK. ESB is full of haters Froch, Haye, Pac-man and the K-bros get just as much hate.

at the end of the day

Oh I don't mean casual love. I meant around ESB.

Among the casual fans he is loved, most definetly.

    Can't disagree with you there.

    Who ever called him that?

And I think doubtful. Though if he does it will be next year.

I hope not as he will never stop the doubters doubting.

The difference between us that makes my opinion far more worthwhile than yours is that I actually work in boxing professionally and have been watching fights for over 35 years, wheras your some kid who's watched a few Amir Khan fights and decided that he's suddenly knows everything there is to know about the sport just because he's read something someone else wrote.

If anything the main reason to disregard all your posting is that unlike most normal people on here who disagree about a fighter or a fight, they usually discuss it in a mature fashion, are open to reason and listen to each others points. That is impossible with you as you're not a Boxing fan, you're an Amir Khan fanatic who considers all critical analysis of him to be hate and have no concept of reality or reason. Do you not think it odd that there is plenty of other Amir Khan fans on here who don't attract the same level of negative attention as you?
