because if you dont fight a guy that at least has a chance....you will get same boring result every time...when you duck the best, you probably wont ever lose :deal
Yes this is another good point, one I didn't pick up on, in that he don't even have to adapt sometimes, he just knows how it will play out. I mean that's pretty amazing isn't it? knowing how your opponent will fight, before you have even got in the ring. But surely sometimes it's pure luck he had guessed right in what will happen? My ideal fight for Mayweather, is an opponent who is conditioned, defensively competent, and very intelligent (sounds like I described Floyd eh?) that would be my dream fight, someone who is able to counter punch Floyd's mind set. I mean imagine Floyd stepped in the ring to fight himself, how would that play out? boring most prob
You honestly think Mayweather would have broken down against Margarito's predictable, slow and one-dimensional pressure?. The Mayweather who handled pressure from the likes of DLH, Mosley(for 2 rounds at least), Corrales, Judah, Castillo x2, and others?. Seriously?. Margarito needs to set his legs to be able to land, meaning he needs to be IN PLACE to land those laughable punches you mention in full force and even when he does, he's very slow. Mayweather, someone who moves and throws all the time will crumble against predictable pressure like what?. You seriously can't be honest with that post unless you're trolling as usual.
mayweather would see everything that's coming, true...but you could only avoid so much...which is where i think the problems would start...most people trow about 3 punches and dont land **** so mentally they start to give up, and that's where "mentally" floyd starts to **** you....but if it's 7, 8 or 9 punches coming at you at a time, what's he gonna do...i mean, he can't just run if he's gonna wanna score on offense also...he's gonna have to stay in the pocket and make him miss, which is where the danger comes vs someone like margo.... you can say what you want scar, but there is a big reason why floyd avoided the fights he did, and chose other easier options.....and it wasn't all about money
you can say that about everyone hes avoided. but fact remains and its in print all over the interent that floyd wanted nothing to with margarito and you can spin it however you want...u cant change facts.... could floyd have done what mosley did to him? we will never know...because he was too much of a ***** to try and find out
Hatton had what it took to beat him, he just fought him 2 fights to late, that and his constant bitching about hattons style before the fight to make sure he was protected by the ref. Never before have i seen a fighter like hatton so blatently stoped from his usual game plan, and it was the ref that that done it. Floyd didnt want to be roughed up by hatton, so he set the seads long before the fight happened to make sure it went to his game plan, not hattons. Paq beats him all day every day. He has to much in every department for floyd. Floyds punches will bounce of paq, paqs on the other hand will grind down floyd and stop him late.
exactly.....it's easy and quite comfortable ( i assume ) to sit behind a screen and say MAYWEATHER WOULD'VE..........but the truth is, he didnt and it was not all about money...he was scared to lose his 0 to a live opponent, and that's cool and all...but his cheerleaders need to stfu cause floyd sure as hell did
u obviously havent boxed before. the type of pressure margarito exerts is the worst. his chin was also a part of it. his opponents hit him with every punch in their arsenal and they wouldnt even put a ***** in his armor. throwing hard punches is tiring. after 7 or 8 rounds of throwing your best punches youre extremely tired. you can hardly protect yourself. it was at this point that margo's opponents realized that margos wouldnt stop. those laughable punches didnt seem so funny then.
I admit, it can become quite frustrating at times, especially when you KNOW he can take the other guy out and yet he chooses not to for some reason. I went to a fight party out in Brooklyn to watch the PBF-Baldomir fight, a FILIPINO fight party (so **** the people that constantly say all we know is PAC), and yeah most of us were dying of boredom. Same crew got together for the PBF-Hoya fight and were left a bit unsatisfied. Personally, I really don't mind it. I enjoy his style, I enjoy what he tries to do, his vision, adaptability, agility, and how he puts it all together. Truth is, I enjoy all styles. Except the Peterson bro's they really put me to sleep for some reason. I can never sit through an entire fight of theirs.
ive never seen so many hard core fans cheer for someone that talks but dont fight remotely the best.... maybe we are different and expect the people we pull for to fight more than 1 time a year, but if you do...fight a real challenger, not blown up feathers or 39 year old over the hill guys.... especially when the boxing world has been waiting for a real superfight between 2 guys that everyone wants to see. sorry, floyd vs oscar was not a super fight nor was hatton floyd vs cotto would have been floyd vs williams would have been floyd vs margarito would have been floyd vs pac would have been floyd vs 35 year old mosley would have been good
